170 acres of paradise located in Tarome, just 8 minutes from Aratula and the Cunningham Highway. The campsite is best suited to those chasing a quiet, private area to enjoy the best of nature along with unbelievable mountain views. The property is the home base for a grass fed beef business with a sustainable focus so whilst you will share with some beautiful cows and calves, the secluded(and fenced off!) campsite is private and serene. Tarome offers some of the best views of the Main Range and Cunninghams Gap, all of which you can enjoy from the site. The sunsets here are spectacular. The Warrill Creek runs through the property, adjacent to the campsite and is home to an abundance of wildlife and vegetation all of which you are welcome to explore. The creek runs seasonally and makes a beautiful swimming area, but is just as enjoyable when dry allowing for a great path to explore the area. The site is only a short drive off the main road so the property offers an ideal spot for short stopovers, or alternatively use it as a base to explore the rest of the Scenic Rim. The abundance of walking, hiking, fishing or biking opportunities in the area are endless, or if you are more into relaxing into some food tasting and wineries then you’ve hit the jackpot. Just an hour and a half from Brisbane CBD! In lieu of camping with nature there are no amenities and limited service with some providers, but if you are chasing something in particular please let us know. We are happy to help. By staying with us you are helping a young family achieve our dream of running a sustainable, eco friendly food production business, we genuinely appreciate your support.

The views of the surroundings ranges and mountains are fantastic, especially at sunrise and sunset. Easy access to some of the Main Range best hiking trails. Fire pits provided. Quiet, peaceful and private.

Scenic and very peaceful
We stayed for two nights with our dogs. The surrounding scenic rim area is beautiful. The camp area is flat, and all sites have a fire pit. We ordered our wood off Tamika and were supplied with plenty for our stay. Very peaceful, and we enjoyed the farms cows and creek nearby. Wasn’t full or running during our stay, but enough for our fur babies to enjoy a swim!

A nice relaxing spot in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range with plenty to see and do close by. Very accommodating hosts. We'll be back.

A great private space
We arrived and had the pick of the three sites. The site was very clean and maintained. The host Brad and Tamika were very accommodating and great to chat to . The river was low but still a great place to cool off and let the dogs have a play . Our dog did get a paralysis tick but Tamika had warned us and we made the trip to boona and got the tick tablet. Overall was a great private camp space

The camp site is flat and has plenty of room for each campsite. The directions for the campsite were a little cryptic but Tamika returned my call to confirm we had found the right place! A sign on the gate or just the street number would have helped. It would be hard to find on the dark. We enjoyed the stay although it was unseasonably hot. The birds were great particularly the raptors and in particular the resident pair of Wedge Tailed Eagles. We thought the price was a little high for the services offered but would go again for the serenity…..

Great little place. Creek was beautiful, surrounded by peaks all round. Nice place to base yourself & explore the region. Hosts were great, firewood they provided burnt a treat & plenty of it. If you time your trip just after descent rain you'll be able to enjoy a swim in the swimming holes along the stream.
