Stoney Camp Sarabah Stud
Good experience for first timers.
We recently stayed at Sarabah’s Stud Stoney camp site. The location was peaceful and secluded, surrounded by trees and a beautiful creek. We did the campfire. The rain spoiled the mood a little and the kids find the bathroom facilities bit rustic but that’s expected for this type of outdoor camping. The host was very friendly and gave a the warm welcome.

Lower Platypus Hole Sarabah Stud
I loved sitting by the river between 6-7am watching the platypus feed. This campsite is well shaded and big enough to really stretch out.

Corn Patch Sarabah Stud
My kind of canpsite
Well the location is amazing - a beautiful rural setting on the Canungra Creek, just 35 minutes to the Gold Coast but an entire world away with bountiful wildlife and spectacular scenery.
The six or so campsites are well maintained and far enough apart if you want to stick to yourself, but close enough if you want to meet some like minded travellers.
Basic amenities but luxury for real campers, with a fire pit, picnic bench and portaloo. Bring your own TP.
The quaint little village of Canungra is just 10 minutes away with everything you might need.
There was potentially a lot of rain coming and I was concerned I might not be able to get in or out of the campsite with no 4x4. The host Robert was confident I’d be ok but assured me he would be able to pull me out if I go stuck.
Speaking of the host, Robert, he’s happy to greet you on checkin and leave you be or have a chat and learn about the area. Top notch bloke.
Thoroughly recommend this campsite. I came for 1 night and stayed for 3!

Platypus Hole Sarabah Stud
We loved our trip - cows, horses, platypus and tiger was a real treat with the kids. Watering hole was lovely on a hot day.
Thank you for having us.

Loved Stoney Camp.
Peaceful and near the creek.
Heaps of space and no neighbours!
