Private sites
98% of recent Hipcampers say the sites felt private.
Settled in 1866 by Mr. Robert Brown. The land is now used for beef cattle and a small amount of dry land hay production. We have 3 private campsites to offer, all have good distance from each other with no visibility of other camps. Approximately 400m from other sites. We like to camp with room too! All sites are fenced off with a gate to drive in and keep the cattle out. Please select a site for more detailed description on what to expect and the extras it offers. Selecting a site will show more accurate photos of that particular location instead of every photo found here. Pets welcome however must remain on leash or tether *Please notify us if bringing a dog* Please clean up after your dog ready for the next camper. Fires permitted only in fire-rings provided. Check for local fire ban restrictions first. There is plenty of wood lying around for use (bring your axe or saw). Things to do - Send some golf balls into space -The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks -Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

Kippa’s Rest
It was a great spot. But I think the host should check on when people check out. Check in was 1pm We got there just after that and the people that were there before us were still packing up so we didn’t get onto the site till 145pm. They were supposed to check out at 11am

Relaxing, peaceful three day stay. enjoyed the extra comfort of the shelter and table provided. we were far enough from other campers not to see or hear them. Lots of wildlife to spy. Excitement one evening when the air force base at Amberly held training exercises with many roaring jets overhead.

One of the best camp sites I've camped at. One night is certainly not enough. I didn't want to leave, thanks Cameron and Christina for sharing your land and providing such a haven with all the little added extras to make our stay feel personal. Having a hot bath under the stars 🌟 is a must! And loved that you provide a toilet for us. Already planning our return trip. Being super close to where we live is a huge bonus. Thanks again
