Settled in 1866 by Mr. Robert Brown. The land is now used for beef cattle and a small amount of dry land hay production. We have 3 private campsites to offer, all have good distance from each other with no visibility of other camps. Approximately 400m from other sites. We like to camp with room too! All sites are fenced off with a gate to drive in and keep the cattle out. Please select a site for more detailed description on what to expect and the extras it offers. Selecting a site will show more accurate photos of that particular location instead of every photo found here. Pets welcome however must remain on leash or tether *Please notify us if bringing a dog* Please clean up after your dog ready for the next camper. Fires permitted only in fire-rings provided. Check for local fire ban restrictions first. There is plenty of wood lying around for use (bring your axe or saw). Things to do - Send some golf balls into space -The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks -Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

Gums on Billabong
Gums camp site
We took our dog for a night away and this was perfect. Super private and quiet. There's an undercover area with table, chairs and a cook plate to go over the fire. Plenty of fallen branches around for firewood. I spent a hour in the outdoor bath watching the sunset, which was gorgeous. Have already recommended to friends and we will definitely be back.

The Party Hut
This is an awesome spot — would be great for a party but was just as good for a quiet weekend away.

Kippa’s Rest
I was in 2 minds to write a review as I didn’t want this little gem of a spot to get out! Stayed one night at Sandy Creek but will definitely be going back. Great level grassed site with shelter provided by the trees. Easy access from road and sites clearly sign posted.

Gums on Billabong
Nice, pleasant open camp site, easy to get to in my tiny Yaris, fire pit was cool and toilet was a good distance (not too far to get to but far enough ;) ). Plenty of space.

Gums on Billabong
Gums on Billabong is a beautiful campsite! Private with plenty of space. Very unique watching the sunset in a fire heated outside bath. Cameron was very helpful and had plenty of firewood.
