Riverside 1
Plenty of room and privacy at Riverview camp-site 1. I bought my kayak which was easy to launch at high tide from the rock wall and left it tied up to drop with the tide. Fishing was a bit quiet but the pots more than made up for it with 3 lovely mud crabs. At high tide, we were able to have a refreshing swim, as the water becomes quite clear, and sitting on a flat rock with the water at chest height was perfect for an ice cold ale. This place may not appeal to everyone, but if you love fishing, crabbing and are not afraid of a few sandflies, then it is perfect. 15 minute drive to Burrum Heads or Hervey Bay as well. Norm was caretaking the place when we were there, and made us feel very welcome.

Riverside 1 - Camping with a view
Riverside 1 was a great spot to sit and look out at Beelbi Creek. This creek flows out to the ocean and is very tidal, so water does disappear quickly! Toogoom beach is only a very short drive meaning that you can access the water at all times anyway.
Rosgrow Farm has been very thoughtfully laid out with signage showing the way to the sites. Entry to the property is firm, meaning that vans can easily access the sites without concern.
A distinct lack of rain in the area at present has meant that the ground is a little dustier under foot than in the photos, but certainly does not detract from some nicely sized areas. I am certain that future rain would make the area as green again as the photos suggest it could be.
There appears to be a 'common area' set up in front of Riverside 1 which overlooks the water, however is not identified as this. The movement of the log seats slightly towards the water would allow for a more comfortable space between Riverside 1 and the common area meaning that everyone could enjoy with some room.
There was a large boat nearby at the time of the visit, but was out out of the way of where we camped. It is understood that the boat is being refloated at some time and not a permanent fixture. This would open the space up to allow 2 parties/vans/tents to camp together at Riverside 1 if it were to go soon.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Riverside 1
Peaceful riverside camping
This was our second time at Gregs place. It’s such a beautiful spot right on the river with amazing views and beautiful sea breezes. We kayaked towards the ocean and saw turtles, stingray and fish. At night we enjoyed our fire and spotted fireflies cruising around the rivers edge, so pretty. We didn’t have any luck fishing but we’ll back to try again!

Gumtree 1
Loved it!
Fabulous empty land with scattered trees, along the banks of the river, five mins drive from town. We had a good breeze thanks to a northerly. Only three sites and very well spread out. Raised, moveable fire pits for each site. Great communication with host. Few midgies about but we were well prepared.
Threw in some pots and got some small crabs and fish. Great for the kids to see but not enough to eat! Fun regardless. Highly recommend.
