Our property in the beautiful Mary Valley was once a pineapple farm and was part of a much larger prperty owned by the prevoius owners for over 60 years.
Upon discovering the Mary Valley we found our farm and fell in love with the views, the mango plantation and the georgeous nearby villages.
The Mary Valley Rattler steam train is a great addition to the history of the area.
We have started with our chook s and breeding for eggs and hope to have cattle and goats soon.Rooster Hill Farm invites you to come and experience the Mary Valley on our lovely flat block in Amamoor. Situated on Moorehouse Gully Road which borders one side of our property, the camping area was once the local district Cricket Pitch and was host to local cricket games for many years.
The camping area is also bordered on two sides by Moorehouse Gully Creek, which is a freshwater source utilised by the farms that sit beside its banks.
My husband Paul and I moved to Amamoor in December 2017 when we purchased our 16 acre farm. We are very lucky to have found a slice of country heaven with a small Bowen mango plantation, various other fruit trees, an established chicken coop and a freshwater creek.
We now have fresh eggs every day, mangoes from mid January and we are continuing to improve fencing and pasture so we can have cattle, sheep and goats. We are also planting olive trees to reflect Josephine's Italian heritage and produce our own olives.
We would love you to come and out and stay, self contained Motorhomes, caravans and campers are all welcome.
With easy access to the Amamoor station and the township of Amamoor on Busby Street, make some time to see or have a ride on the famous Mary Valley Rattler original steam train, which pulls into Amamoor on a return trip to Gympie Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Mary Valley Adventure Trails horse riding is 2 minutes down the road to enable you to enjoy riding through farms and the beautiful forests available as a seperate booking and cost.
There is kayaking on Yabba Creek at Imbil and boating on Borumba Dam, about 30 minutes scenic drive away. We are an easy 45 minutes to Noosaville, and 50 minutes to Coolum and Perigian Beaches, we are in the best spot ever!
Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire (firewood is available under Extras).
This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water supply.
Well behaved pets are welcome.
