Site 9
Great site overall
We stayed in site 9 at Platypus Bush Camp for two nights. We really loved our site as it offered privacy away from the bustling camp ground. We also loved swimming in the stream which was a short walk from camp. There was a site right next to it with a see through screen which we recommend should be changed to provide both sites with proper privacy. As a general piece of feedback, the whole area did feel very crowded particularly on the second night when several tent and “car” campers arrived. We enjoyed it but probably wouldn’t return.

Site 10
Mixed feelings.
It is a lovely park to be in, with great amenities. Close to the beautiful Finch Hatton Gorge and walks. Loved swimming in the stream at the park, and hearing the birds. Toilets and shower were fabulous, and what a treat showering in the open air shower. Site 10, however, looks out to the free camping tent area. There is no privacy, as you look out to the tents and you are also right next to the communal fire pit, available for use by anyone in the park. The tent area was occupied by a large group of backpackers, and although not rowdy, had their music and voices going into the evening. Just not exactly what we had hoped for in a gorgeous bush camp setting. Everything seems to be a bit crammed in and close. Overall, it was ok.

Honeymoon Hut
Sleeping out in nature.
We had the best time. The hut by the creek was just amazing to relax in. The camp is just such a great getaway. Then there is the walking tracks up to the waterfalls which we did as well.

Site 9
Beautiful 😍
This was an absolutely beautiful little spot . Site 9 fit our 18.5ft caravan easily with room for the awning . Super close to clean toilets and the BEST rainforest showers with HOT water 😍 lovely little swimming hole and creeks that run all around the camp site . Staff are super friendly and mindful of keeping the peace and quiet around camp. They have a Hammock area, board games, reading nook , with access to wifi, two kitchen/dinning spaces. 5min drive to the wheel of fire hike at finch hatton gorge . Kids loved all the swimming spots and the hike to the best swimming spot of all 🥰 spaces for tents, camper tents, RVs and a more open private spaces down the road . Highly recommend this site !!!!
