Small rural family property, 11.5 klm from the roadhouse on the western side road of Chaters Towers Qld. Currently we have 10 sites overlooking a large dam. Plenty of bird life,, Lovely sunsets Take a walk around the camping area, including the base of the Featherby Wall Uni sex Bush toilet on siteThe water front sites are situated on the edge of the dam. With access to the communal toilets, wood fired bbq and fire pits (wood is supplied) you are set for a relaxing stay. Enjoy the breath-taking scenery with active bird life and beautiful sunsets on your daily bushwalks. If exploring's not your thing, sit back and relax with piece of mind that you're safe and getting great value for your money at Pete's Place.

Pete’s place was fantastic. It was so delightful driving in to see so many birds by the water and we were pleasantly greeted by his bluey dog Pearl. She’s a sweetheart. It’s a very basic site and very peaceful. It has a very clean drop toilet and some bore water which we boiled for dishes but definitely don’t drink it. It has firepits and ton of firewood to use. We had a few ants about but they’re the small black harmless ones, just do a dance and you’re fine. Thanks again, we had a great night

Great spot with wonderful water views and bird life. Also some nice walking tracks. We loved it, and so did our dog. 😊 Thanks for your hospitality Pete.

Peace, quiet, space and comfort!
Wonderful! Pete’s place is peaceful, spacious, simple and comfortable! Pete is a gentleman and a great host! We enjoyed a visit from Pearl, the farm dog and enjoyed our stet immensely! Thank you!

Had the place to ourselves, very quiet and peaceful. Lovely sunsets and the baby brahmas came to visit. Lots of birds on the dam.

Pete's Place was great! Pete was welcoming and the sites were well kept. The bush toilet with a water tank nearby for washing hands was handy and the fridge library...what a bonus!! It's these little extras that just make it. Well done, Pete - we'd love to visit again!
