Highly recommend, such a nice place and beautiful views. There are midgies so be prepared, also take an extra loaf of bread for Molly & Daisy ❤️ Trevor was nice and helpful. Would stay again.

Lovely riverside camping
The location is fabulous. The town of Howard is lovely. It was easy to access the site. We camped right by the river. We were eaten alive by sandflies so come prepared. We caught many fish and a few crabs too. Trevor is an excellent host and is very friendly. So are his cows.

Nice with a side of midgies
An overnight stay for us as we head south. Directions given were clear and easy to follow. Road in had pot holes but nothing major, nice and flat. We chose to camp up the top on the grass, there is a few spots along the river and around to the right is more grass. Trev came and said hello, nice and easy going host. There are 2 friendly cows that roam and the atmosphere is lovely. However, there were so many sandlflies/midgies in the afternoon and night that it ruined our stay as we were just being constantly bitten. We ended up leaving early because of it so pack spray if you are heading in - it is on a river after all.

OK for a night or two.
The area was nice. Can not access river sites without a 4WD, road in was a bit hairy with a motorhome as well. Other guests dogs were just running everywhere, one of them nipped me when I tried to pick up and save my dog. LOTS of mozzies! Enforcing rules perhaps regarding dogs and designated fire spots as there are random fire beds everywhere making hard to find a clear flat spot for set up. Be a great spot for a gathering, short term quiet get away.
