A beautiful area to camp and learn more about Sugar Cane as we have travelled a lot ourselves with our large family in a caravan we want to offer other families an affordable place to stay. We are on a cane farm and have flat grassy area suitable for all types of vehicles, tents, camper trailers, caravans or just swags. The house site is a large area around the main homestead of the property with toilet and shower facilities right there, including washing machine and dryer at a small cost for your convenience, also a BBQ that can be used with table and chairs also, come and have a drink and a chat in the afternoons and if wether and wind permit and no fire bans in place a chat around the fire pot. We are just off the Bruce Highway 1 hr from Airlie Beach and 45 minutes from Mackay. Safe to pull up and leave your van while you go sight seeing in our beautiful area.

Amazing place, with super friendly hosts, amenities and views... Kayaking available on private dam which was a hit for our small girls. Great place to stop with dog if going to visit Cape Hillsborough National Park. Highly recommended!

Here’s an updated version of your review: We had an amazing stay at Karinda & Ando’s (Dale’s) beautiful property! The location was incredibly convenient, making it an ideal stop during our travels. The grounds and facilities were pristine and well-maintained, showcasing the care they put into creating a welcoming space. What truly stood out was the warmth and hospitality of the hosts. Sitting by the fire with Karinda, sharing drinks and friendly conversation, was such a highlight. Her kindness and genuine interest made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with fantastic amenities and incredible hosts, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommend!

The best spot in QLD

This place is a MUST visit. Karinda and her team were all extremely welcoming of me and my young family. She’s got a heart of gold and provided many laughs and good times. The place is stunning with the sunset swing, kayak fishing and drinks the highlight. Thanks to Karinda and the Tassie mob for making these South Aussies so happy, it truly felt like a home away from home. Thank you

Great spot to relax and chill out. Plenty of space and clean facilities with hot showers. Camp kitchen if you require. Fantastic hosts - very friendly and great to chat to. We are local to area so did not do the tour as already know about cane farms but husband did the visit to the ‘Love Shack’ and said it was amazing. Will definitely be back.

Great spot for a night or two to explore inland or the coast. The most spectacular sunset we have ever seen. Would have loved to do the cane farm tour, but the owners were away so maybe next time 😁
