Only an hour from Brisbane, just over half an hour from Ipswich. We now have toilets. A self contained cabin is coming soon, hopefully by December. We purchased our block as a rural escape. It's 25 acres of koala protected bush. Camping is on cleared, grassy flats, this is basic bush camping suited to fully self sufficient campers. Listen to the birds, including the beautiful whip birds Look for koalas and other wildlife: quails, ducks, birds, kangaroos, deer (our property is koala protected bush. Wildlife must not be disturbed). Under a minute drive to local creek and swimming hole. A few minutes drive to Wivenhoe dam recreation area. 15-minute drive to Fernvale for supplies (and one of the famous pies from the bakery). 20 minute drive to Somerset Dam for all your water sport fun. Stop at a swimming hole or lookout on your way up to scenic Mt Glorious. We are about 10 minute drive from Northbrook Gorge, a popular local hike. Under 15 minutes drive to Fernvale for all necessities (including Woolworths). Around 10 minutes drive to Northbrook Gorge for hiking and swimming 2WD accessible Bring all necessities and leave no trace. Our property is koala protected bush. We have koalas on site. All wildlife must not be disturbed. Foraging from the ground only is permitted. Absolutely no hand tools or chainsaws to be used on trees Please note, our dams are seasonal. They have a small amount in them They will both be full in the future when we install a pump for our bore.

Awesome weekend camping trip

Fantastic place, so relaxing even if we were rained out and headed home a night early. Plenty of places to set up makeshift shelter with tarp. The boys had an awesome time. Danielle and hubby very accommodating thank you so much.

We had a good weekend.

It was our first camping experience with our 2 year old granddaughter and we had a great time. The property is not well maintained and very basic though has large flat areas and fire pits which is all you really need for some basic camping and some great family time. Didn't come away raving about it but also have no complaints.

Nice campground but toilet is unstable. Pictures on site are misleading and look like Wivenhoe dam is closer and you can walk to it but you actually have to drive. Host is lovely.

Campsite was mowed nicely and no rubbish present. It is less private than other sites I have visited as you can see and hear the owners cabin on the hill above. Would be a good site for families as there are some bikes and scooters available for them to use.

Bush camp close to dam.

Nice quiet little spot, even though it sits next to a highway, there was surprisingly little noise. Only 5 mins from Wivenhoe Dam, which is spectacular! Friendly hosts, easy interaction and access.

Nice and close to Wivenhoe Dam and Northbrook Gorge Easy instructions to property We stayed at the site on top of the hill which was lovely and private and had glimpses of the dam Lovely hosts
