This a chilled back relaxed site with beautiful views of sunsets over the mountain. If you enjoy fishing the Dam is alive with Barra so feel free to test out your luck. You can also cool down for a swim in the dam or use the kayaks available for a little paddle, Happy hour Hanger is open with picnic tables and camp fires for the campers to use at their disposal. Located in Newell Beach, central to Port Douglas and Cape Tribulation/Daintree this caravan site is situated around a Dam on a cattle farm surrounded by cane fields. 2 minutes from the beach and boat ramp, 5 minutes from Mossman town and 10 minutes from the Mossman Gorge. There is drinkable water taps around the sites for caravans to fill their tanks.Enjoy a swim, fish for a barra or a paddle in the Dam. If you’re up for some socialising the Happy hour Hanger is open with picnic tables and camp fires for the campers to use at their disposal. Calm relaxed atmosphere. Feel free to give the cows a pat. Located central to Port Douglas and Cape tribulation/Daintree. Water taps available.

Lovely spot- you set up around the dam, some children had lots of fun swimming in the dam and their parents monitored noise levels well. I think it’s max is 6 vehicles. Individual fire pits, potable water taps. I think if all occupants are kind to each other and considerate - it’s a great spot. More character than the nearby golf course RV park.

Camping around the dam was so much fun for the kids. The kids loved using the kayak, throwing a line in and playing around the water. The adults loved watching the sun set behind the mountains, as the colours changed over the dam.

Newell Beach Farm Stay
Peaceful location
Lovely Property, very peaceful, close to Newell Beach, Mossman and around 20 mins easy drive to Port Douglas. Loved waking up to the Cattle peaking over the fence. Sunrises are exquisite. Our dog loved swimming in the dam.. Directions provided were straightforward. Farm has easy level access, nicely mowed with plenty of space on each van site. There is fresh water available as well. Make sure you book asap, as it is proving to be popular. Also, as always, please be respectful and leave it how you found it. Thank you Tink and Fran for sharing your lovely property with us, we enjoyed our stay very much.. 🙏🏻

Newell Beach Farm Stay
Very quiet spot, and very convenient to Mossman and to Port Douglas. Plenty of space between sites, and really appreciated being able to fill our tanks with water from the conveniently located taps around the perimeter. Didn't see the hosts, but appreciated the ability to come and go as we pleased.
