Miallo Lakehouse is situated on a private farm allocated along a beautiful rainforest stream that is perfect for swimming and relaxing. The location is perfect as a base camp to explore this fantastic region, just 8 minutes from Mossman, 20 minutes from Port Douglas, and 20 minutes from the Daintree. Sites are located by the stream and are well-shaded in the afternoon and morning, but with enough sunny space to charge solar panels. Adjacent to the campsites are horse and cattle paddocks, where you'll see our animals grazing. All campers need to be self-contained with their own camp toilet. There is however water available. Well-behaved pets are welcome too!Perfectly positioned between Port Douglas and The Daintree and minutes from the famous Mossman Gorge. After contact with either Billy or Bobby to help find the perfect position along the creek so that your setup takes advantage of access to the creek and to the shade. The site is limited to 7-8 sites and only for self-contained campers. This means no on-site toilets or showers so those that don’t have that facility will need to book elsewhere There are friendly cows and horses nearby and the creek is crystal clear all year round and great for tubing down. Situated so there is no noise just peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings

The Lakehouse Creekside Hipcamp
This secluded gem, with sites located right on a clear stream, was super quiet and a must stay camp when exploring the sights around Mossman.

Stunning spot...
Billy was friendly but left you alone to camp. The sites are clean, safe, quiet, beautiful, and close enough to Port Douglas and Daintree. I took my son to Hook-A-Barra, which was 15 minutes up the road. It was a great experience! I would recommend The Lakehouse Creekside 👍

The Lakehouse Creekside Hipcamp
One of our favourite hip camps!
We absolutely loved our stay here, were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. You are so close to Mossman although feel like you are a million miles away. It is very private and you are literally on the most amazing creek. The kids had a ball in the water and so did the dog! We will be back, a hidden gem!
