Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Welcome to A lovely, secluded streamside campsite. With a private maintained streamside camping area of aprox 1 acre on a ten acre property, surrounded by rain forrest and farmland. Kids are welcome to join small farm activities, feeding chickens and cows, collecting eggs and harvesting fruit trees when fruit is available. Some very special wildlife for the quite observer including regular sitings of platypus and tree kangaroos. Close to township of Malanda with tourist activities throughout the atherton tablelands. Firewood and fireplaces provided, water available (filtered but recomended to be boiled or treated prior to drinking) Campers need to be self contained, no toilets on site. Please respect this clean, natural setting, remove all rubbish and no interfering with flora or fauna. Bookings are only for one camp group, max four caravans, camper trailers or campsites to maintain space and atmosphere. Access is by well maintained gravel drive then grassed area. Malanda Stream Secluded Camping
Perfection
This is a very special place to camp. The lovely rocky stream framed by rainforest and beautiful bird calls lull you in to a relaxed state. The area is very private and the lawns are kept in pristine condition. There are so many things to discover in this area such as lakes, tea houses and waterfalls. I highly recommend staying here.

Highly recommend Spent a couple of nights in a ground tent very enjoyable and peaceful and plenty of room We were lucky enough to see a platypus as well would stay here again 10/10

Great Spot!
Mike and Heidi were very welcoming upon our arrival, they provided us with a fire pit and firewood to use. The campsite was secluded and located alongside a stream that you can sometimes spot Platypus’s swimming through! A great base to go and explore the Waterfall circuit as well as Windin Falls! Stayed for 2 nights but would have loved to stay longer!

Camp by the stream~private & serene
Wow, what an amazing place to set up camp! Malanda Stream is a peaceful, completely private, and beautifully maintained camp-site with lush green grass, room to breathe, plenty of shade, and space for the kids to play and explore. With nature in every corner, the creek winding its way around the bend right in front of your camp, and the chorus of birdsong each morning, it really feels as though you are encompassed by the beauty of the rainforest. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, and Mike was quick to jump on the mower and show us the way down the hill to camp. They provide ample firewood, a fire pit, as well as water hook-up to fill your tanks if needed, which we really appreciated. We got lucky and spotted a platypus swimming upstream, as well as a few sightings of the stunning Azure Kingfisher bird fishing for an early morning snack. Heidi and Mike have lovingly and meticulously carved out this gorgeous piece of land and decided to share it with others~how lucky we are! Do yourself a favour and book this spot for your next camp or to use as a base to explore the tablelands. HINT: Don't plan too many outings, as you simply will not want to leave your camp! Thanks again for having us Heidi and Mike, we'll definitely be coming back soon.

For anyone that is travelling to experience Malanda and the Tablelands, this is the place to stay. Easily accessible to caravans, Heidi and Mike and their beautiful kids have a very large space on the stream with beautiful trees and waterfalls. Heidi and Mike provide fire pits and firewood, but the personal touch is the two chairs in a clearing they made next to the waterfall stream, perfect for a quiet afternoon to watch the cows in the next paddock and enjoy some time out preparing for the next day adventures

Malanda Stream Secluded Camping
This is one of my favourite camp sites! The hosts, Mike and Heidi, are super friendly, and keep the camping area in immaculate condition. There is a huge amount of space for tents, nice shade areas and plenty of firewood. We have already booked our next visit, and I can highly recommend this site.
