Best ever!
What a great experience staying at Lalapanzi Heights! Rodger and Jenny are great hosts, always up for a chat during our stay, or to bring extra water or wood up to the campsite. Definitely require a 4x4 to get up the steep, rocky track to the site, and could be real fun if there were lots of rain around. Rodger was more than willing to take us up to the camp in his 4x4 but we had our own so we just followed him up the track. Just bring your clothes, toiletries and food. The camp kitchen is fully equipped, clean, and you really don't need to take anything with for your stay. The shower works great and the bush bathroom is well setup. Great to have a shower and watch the surrounding bush at the same time. We stayed in the rondavel which has a really comfy bed and good, clean linen. A clever touch is the 240v power for charging devices. We had originally planned to setup our tent but after 3 weeks of camping, the idea of a bed and a room was too appealing, and the hosts were more than happy to change our booking. The site is so quiet, peaceful, and comfortable, that it tops our list of places to stay. Thank you Rodger and Jenny. We will definitely be back soon for another stay when we visit Toowoomba again.

A top camp
Such a well-equipped camp in a true Australian bush setting: ideal tent sites, incorporating features of the land in structures such as a sandstone boulder forming part of a wall in the bathroom and sandstone rocks around the open fire, which Rodger has created for boiling the billy, cooking, warming oneself and enjoying the atmosphere of an open fire. I complement Rodger and Jenny for creating a camp site I want to return to,, everything I needed was available and they are friendly, very interesting and helpful hosts. Rodger has created trails to further explore the Aussie bush. If, like me, you failed fire lighting 101, there's a large gas stove. For company, there are birds, brush turkeys, a curious goanna and a huntsman or two. Whether you are new to camping or wanting a top class experience, I recommend Lalapinzi Heights and you drive time there on a sealed road!

Camping with the kids!
Such an awesome little place to getaway, we will definitely be back! All we needed to bring was ourselves and our clothes. Roger and his wife were amazing hosts and so accomodating. We really enjoyed our stay and our little ones loved exploring, they especially loved the 4WD ride up to the site! Was a really great adventure for all of us, would highly recommend 😊
