Firepit area with views to the lake
Camping, Kayaking and relaxing!
Our group loved camping on the fire pit site. We love using our camp ovens and this fire pit was perfect for cooking up a storm. If you like privacy I would recommend booking both available sites so you have the place and amenities to yourself. In saying that there was only one other camper on our final night and they were very quiet. It is about a 1km walk to the waters edge but we arranged 4x4 access with the owner and that enabled us to get our Kayaks and SUP down to the water. The kids absolutely LOVED playing in the small protected bay of water on the SUP. We also had some great weather and managed to catch some redclaw crayfish and an Australian Bass from the Kayak.
The views from our rooftop tent were spectacular and the property sits up high so you get a lovely breeze. The amenities were clean and it was a luxury having a lovely hot shower (being mindful that they are on tank water so a quick shower is best). We stayed three nights but wished we stayed longer. We will be back again.

Wonderful quiet and spacious campin
Wonderful quiet and spacious camping location. Great bathroom and view towards the lake. Also went for a drive on the well maintained property and took a dip in the lake. Would recommend, especially if you're a lake lover! Beautiful starry nights too.

Amazing Views & Access to Somerset
Great place for a fun fishing/lake side expedition! Annette has a beautifully maintained property with the best toilet facilities I've seen so far, and an amazing short walk to multiple secluded lakeside locations which are specific to Annette's land - if you'd like to fish or visit the lake without dealing with crowds it's a great option. Annette and caretaker were very responsive throughout the trip.
As other reviews have noted the caretakers residence is quite close to the two campsites (and the two campsites are quite close to each other as well) - essentially assume as if it's three well-spaced campsites located together at other venues (the two sites and caretaker residence as the third). If you're looking for ultimate privacy I'd suggest booking both campsites (then you'd have a huge amount of space!). Will be back again to hopefully catch a fish this time!
