Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Restful “Kooyalee” is a perfect family, group or solo traveler camping spot. There is space for all!
Our 4.2 ha property has two distinct camping areas – cleared grassy areas under the trees or more secluded bush camping. Both areas provide peaceful and quiet surrounds for you and your family to enjoy. Relax around the fire and roast marshmallows, enjoy the sunset and uninterrupted star gazing.
Kooyalee is located 20 minutes from the coastal town of Yeppoon and Rockhampton CBD.
If you love adventure, Kooyalee sits on the doorstep of excellent hiking and mountain biking trails. Set up camp and use the property as your base to explore the area.
Friendly wallabies and occasional kangaroos also like to share this delightful property with our guests.
Guests must be fully self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them upon departure. Fire is allowed only within existing firepits and NOT during the fire season when there are bans in place (usually summer). Existing on-site facilities (including water) are not available to campers at present however we look forward to sharing the facilities and other accommodation options with you soon.
The property is pet friendly however pets must always be on a leash and are not to be left alone as we do share the property with local wildlife.
