64 Hectares surrounded by National Park. *There are no showers but there is a compost toilet available.* A perfect spot to stay over for the Mt. Maroon climb. The local area has a tourism focus with plenty of opportunities to explore the Scenic Rim. Lake Moogara and Maroon Dam are not far away for jet skis, kayaking and swimming. If you are not up for Mt Maroon climb which could take up to 3 hours each way, there are always walks around the area that are less challenging. We are family friendly with easy terrain to set up for first time campers. Wake up to beautiful views and serenity. Sorry, no dogs are allowed as we have koalas and we are surrounded by National Parks Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Check on the day, it is usually fine to cook with contained cookers during a fire ban. BYO gas BBQ. Please note that there are no showers or potable (drinkable) water on our property, you will need to bring your own. Bring what you need and take it away. Leave no trace.

Great spot to have Mt Maroon adventures! Wendy popped around to say Hello which was lovely. Well kept camp site-4 areas and plenty of space. Compost toilet is great. We’ll be back!

What a view! You've got the magnificent mt maroon towering over you on one side and an endless valley scen on the other. A few nice flat grassy spots to choose from and visits from wallabies and bandicoots during the evenings. Great spot to start the arduous but rewarding hike up mt maroon. Price is up there but you soon forget about it once the sun starts to set .

Camping underneath Mt Maroon
We camped one night only to hike Mt Maroon the day after. The site was quite nice but we arrived fairly late and were the third lot of campers there so we got a less desirable site. Wasn't the flattest site, but we managed to pitch our tent in a flattish spot. We bought a bag of firewood of the owners that we picked up on arrival which made it nice and easy. The other two sites were nicer to the one we had. There was a fourth set of campers that arrived quite late. Mt Maroon was a great walk. Quite steep, but worth the effort. They also seem to host some cabins on site which have a better view than the camping spot. Communication from the hosts was good and we had no issues with the campers.

Camping with a group of 4
Really good campsite. Good spacing between the campsites (fire pits mark the spots). Felt private. Compost toilet is a compost toilet. Be prepared. I thought it was ok but a couple of people in our group were a bit precious. Fire wood is available for purchase or you can find some on the grounds. View was good. The campsite is also well drained. It had rained hard for a few days before and the site was good.
