We are the only Hipcamp in the District with flush toilets, hot showers and powered sites! Welcome to Kia Ora Pony Club grounds, a pretty and flat 10-acre property to camp on. We are located just off Tin Can Bay Road between Gympie and Rainbow Beach which is perfect retreat for outdoor enthusiasts. You can also bring your horse to go for a ride on the beach. Dogs welcome too. Perfect for big groups camping together for the weekend or travellers passing through. Whether you're a fishing enthusiast or a horse lover, our location has something for everyone. Bring your boat and enjoy a day of fishing at Tin Can Bay or bring your horses and explore the stunning beach trails at Rainbow beach. We provide secure and spacious yards, along with ample grassy areas for your horses to graze and kids to run. If you are sleeping in a swag you are welcome to roll it on our deck to be out of the weather. Our brand-new amenities are designed to provide you with utmost comfort during your stay. Enjoy the convenience of our gas hot showers, ensuring a refreshing experience after a day of outdoor activities. Close to 2 service stations on Tin Can Bay Road, Sublime Brewery and Fraser Grill Restaurant for places to eat out. Park anywhere on the right-hand side of the property and enjoy the green parklands with the security of a fenced area. Fires OK, contact us for timber. We run pony club rallies once or twice a month and normally block out the night before which will explain it if you see a Saturday night blocked (sorry). No where else in this area has hot showers, powered sites for this price. We are a community group so please support us :) The money is used to improve and upkeep the grounds.

2 night stay with 2 horses & 2 dogs
My family & animals had a great 2 night stay at Kia Ora PC. The amenities were just what we needed. 👌🏻 There were a few others campers there but with plenty of room no one was too close/loud. 😊 A lovely spot with a couple of good places to eat nearby. And an easy day trip out to Rainbow Beach.

Clean grounds and amenities
We had a lovely stay at Kia Ora Pony Club. Lush grass, flat ground, quiet and sparkling clean amenities. NOTE that you are booking a certain site but the sites aren’t numbered and the directions say to camp anywhere. This isn’t generally an issue and indeed you can camp anywhere however if you’re wanting power the only powered sites are right next to the amenities block or you need a VERY long cord. We booked ‘Pony 3’ because we liked that spot and it was close to the amenities/power but when we arrived there were people camping there already and our power cord wouldn’t reach where we ended up setting up.

A beautiful stay at Kia Ora
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kia Ora Pony Club, and it was an unforgettable experience! The campsites are spacious and the amenities are well-maintained, offering privacy and powered and unpowered sites! The sunsets here are absolutely stunning, and being able to relax under the stars at night made the trip even more special. I highly recommend Kia Ora Pony Club for anyone looking to unwind, connect with nature, and enjoy a unique countryside experience!

We loved our stay here, it was perfect for what we needed and had the land to ourselves. The host was super responsive and helpful, any questions were answered quickly. And just to top it off one of the showers were the we have ever had at a campsite.
