Creekside Camping - Platypus Cove
Terrible communication
Please all be aware that the hotel you're instructed to stop at to get a map and instructions to the campsite shuts at 2000. This is not told anywhere on the listing or message prior to arrival. It simply says check in from 1400.
It was impossible to find the campsite using Google maps. On messaging and calling the host to let them know about our late arrival time (out of politeness) and when we arrived, we received no response and when they answered their phone they hung up after and then simply told us to go to the campsite, which we had already said we could not find.
It all felt extremely unsafe and such poor communication.
Sorry, but I wouldn't recommend.
I hope you make the details of check in and instructions to get to the campsite clearer so no one else finds themselves in this position.

The land was great and flat and easy to drive too. toilets and shower block was very clean.

Creekside Camping - Platypus Cove
Unfortunately the animals are not friendly except the Ram. I came to the camp because of the photos that showed friendly animals. This is not the case. The "Saloon" is unusable due to dust and seems to be a storage space. There is an electric pylon in the paddock which hums all night but not shown in photos. If you camp at Platypus Cove, expect the other campers to walk through your camp site. Door on toilet/shower does not lock. Shower floors need a water blast as they have mould an slime on them. Very disappointing 😞 Photos are false advertising unfortunately

Creekside Camping - Platypus Cove
My kids and I have an amazing stay at Kandanga Creek. The kids enjoyed the kayaking and exploring in nature and loved spending time with the farm animals including the new baby goat. I enjoyed the spectacular sunsets, nighttime fires and the quiet serenity. To quote the kids "can we come back here Mum".

Drover’s Flat 2
We left after one night there was an extremely loud generator that pumped water for the farm just across the creek. This belted out a deafening noise from 4 pm to 11:20 pm the day & night before.
