4WD Recommended - dirt/gravel road and two creek crossings (through the creek bed) to get here. We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here. This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here. No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.

Eagle's Nest
Great 2 night rest at eagles nest. Anita is very friendly and left us to our stay in peace! Nearest campsite about 200m away but cant be seen and last site at end of the track so no passing traffic! Plenty room for our rotty to explore and fallen firewood to collect and burn. Bit hard to find level spot for tent away from treea so dealt with small oncline which was fun but no issue for levelled camper trailers. Awesome property with beautiful creek running theough near the entrance. Highly reccomend for peace and privacy.

Large private site. Very peaceful. Tall Gums was big enough for both our van and a friends. Right near the creek.

This was our 3rd time at Tall Gums. We love our visits to Hope Valley beautiful place beautiful people and an awesome spot for the kids to explore.

Great for a night. I wouldn't take the kids with me as they may get a little bored. But lovely grounds
