Eagle's Nest (hilltop site)
We love the view and the seclusion of the camp. Just beware of the wind, which could be quite strong given the position up on the hill. Make sure you bring enough warm clothes due to wind chill factor. We will definitely come back (but will be more prepared this time with wind jackets).

Wood Duck's Nest
Fantastic place
Absolutely fantastic place, easy to find, and we didnāt have a 4wd, and it was not a problem. Nice, secluded, great for the dogs to run around, but still keep within line of sight. Loved it. Crows Nest town is really nice, and close by. Best soda shop I have ever been too. And the landfill was free for domestic waste, and quite convenient when camping.

Eagle's Nest (hilltop site)
Peaceful camping and views to boot.
Where do I start? We stayed at Eagleās Nest in our Hybrid caravan and the views are spectacular!
One could only imagine having the entire site to ourselves, and thatās what makes this place so special, itās one booking per site. š¤ Our hosts were very helpful, accommodating, and non intrusive.
We ordered firewood, kindling, and farm eggs for our stay. These were waiting for us at our site by the picnic table and huge fire pit.
Roaming around our site were two ponyās. Our dogs roamed the site off leash with the ponyās approaching for pats and carrots.
The daytime views were breathtaking. We walked the boundary of our site looking at the contours of the land, trying to make out the different landmarks.
Thereās something special about cooking on the open fire, having a few quiet ones while taking in the stars of the night sky. You just lose track of time out there, itās just what we needed. Catching the morning sun with a coffee in hand, you canāt get much better.
Being so high up one can expect it to be cooler and at times windy, it was refreshing. The compost shared toilet was clean and tidy with sawdust provided, no smell at all.
Itās a shame that despite the hosts rules, people carved their names into the trees this year.
If you visit, and we will be back, be respectful, leave no footprint. š§”
That you Leacia and family for having us.

Whipbird's Nest (hilltop site)
Whipbird camp has lovely 360* views of the range. The campsite is roomy but cosy and comfortable at the same time. You feel like you are on top of the world. We were lucky with the weather - not too windy and the foggy starts turned into beautiful sunny days. Leacia provided clear directions and suggestions about what to do and see. We will certainly come back again.

Eagle's Nest (hilltop site)
Love the location if they could do something about the wind :) the perils of being 600+m ASL , in all honesty the hosts are lovely and the grounds have been spotless both times I have been , I will be booking again soon
