The Highfields Pioneer Village covers an area of 20 acres of picturesque grounds with over 70 buildings of historic interest, pleasant surroundings and picnic facilities. It is located just 15kms north of Toowoomba. Our property is part of the Highfields Pioneer Village* complex located just 20 minutes from Toowoomba. This campsite is a wonderful place to rest whilst taking in the scenic surroundings of the village which is the home of the Big Cow.  Visit the Toowoomba Fire Brigade Museum which houses an historic collection of memorabilia, documenting the story of the people who have worked every day to keep us safe from fires since 1877. The collection includes Uniforms, Badges & patches, historical records & photographs and over 6 Historic Fire Engine Vehicles, Apparatus, Models & Collectibles. Visit the iconic Ambulance Museum that tells the story of Ambulance services in Queensland. We are within easy reach of Highland Falls which has some great walking tracks and view points of the falls. Pets are also permitted in this bushland area but must be on a leash. We are just 3 mins from local shops, McDonald's, KFC. This is the perfect spot for those who want to wind down and escape the hustle and bustle. We have amenities available and pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times. Sorry, no campfires. Bush Camping. *Tickets to the Village are optional and can be purchased onsite from the Kiosk. Recommended time to view the Pioneer Village is at least 2 hours.

Highfields Pioneer Village
The camp was great. Very quiet. Maybe a little point of improvement. A few more signs as to the areas for camping.

Highfields Pioneer Village
Great camping spot. Very quiet. Clean toilet and showers. Lots of hot water and good water pressure in shower though stainless steel base gets slippery. Stayed 3 nights and would definitely return.

Highfields Pioneer Village
The staff were lovely and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Amenities were clean and shower was amazing. Only down fall was the wind as the camp area is in an open space would recommend that you are prepared for this if you stay here. Loved the birds and we made friends with the magpies. Will be back with the kids to go on a train ride. Great local shops too.

Absolutely beautiful little spot very quiet and the pioneer village is great especially the transport museum. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early because of the rain. I would highly recommend to anyone for a quiet and really tidy camping spot. Thanks guys
