Pastures That Soothe
Nice spot on the farm. Only a couple minutes drive to nearby creeks. Janet and family were great hosts, everyone very pleasant to deal with.

Pastures That Soothe
Better for self-sufficient campers
Positives- There were gorgeous free roaming farm animals and green fields, nice view of the mountains and super close to the national park. Negatives - The camping area was overgrown, with no shade and the farm animals were in a different field. So, it was more like you were looking on from over the road. A few dogs in cages on your entrance and you can hear them barking during the night. The toilet (portaloo) was inaccessible, actually had a lock on the door, and we were unsure where the drinking water was. I understand the owner was away during this time so maybe these things are different if she were there.

Pastures That Soothe
Janet and her son were wonderful hosts. Beautiful part of the world, Janet even took me a the off-road buggy to see the Herbert river and the national Park with some great fishing spots and scenery. Campsite was secluded with nice flat ground to sleep on. No mozzies. Would highly recommend either as a base to explore the park(birds and fishing) or just to watch the unique animals in the pastures - cows, goats, miniature donkey/horses.
