Our names are Chris and Christine. We recently moved to Gundiah Qld and acquired a beautiful piece of land (approx. 320 acres) with about 70 acres of picturesque camping located on the Mary River. Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful. We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top. There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts. Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles. We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property. Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times. We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe. Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you". Gundy Getaway is the perfect place to get back to basics and enjoy the peace and serenity.

RIVERSIDE
What a beautiful location. It was very quiet and peaceful. We were self sufficient which made our trip comfortable. Hubby enjoyed having a flick in the river while I played on the bank with the puppies. Host Chris was friendly and checked in and made sure we were ok.

THE PASTURES
Wow, what an awesome place. Beautiful property with plenty to see and do! The kids absolutely loved the bmx track, putt putt golf and play area! Would highly recommend and was very very surprised that we were the only ones here for school holidays!! Awesome friendly down to earth hosts Chris & Christine. We will definitely be back!

Awesome spot! Beautiful section of the river plenty of wildlife, I was up early every morning fishing and saw different platypus on different occasions, plenty of fish to be caught and the owners are the most genuine people you will meet, sorted us with firewood and made sure we were all set, I will be back! I just hope it doesn’t get too busy now ;)

Really friendly couple. Very accommodating. Beautiful spot down on the river. In one morning managed to see a platypus, white breasted sea eagle, turtles, cows, wallabies and plenty of other birdlife.

Platypus, Bass, Wallaby and Turtles
Another wonderful stay. The platypus showed up regularly (though best to try see them before 7am) and the turtles showed up as well as a wallaby with a joey. Toilets and showers were clean and well kept and the property well maintained. We fished and caught Bass, and took the SUP up the river. We'll be back again!
