All of our camp sites are EXCLUSIVE unless you are travelling with others, you will have complete privacy and uninterrupted time during your stay at Francvillers. After years of hosting the odd group of people, friends of friends or distant acquaintances - it got us to thinking; there is a reason why they just keep coming back. We are located 25 minutes south of Cunnamulla, South West QLD. We offer seclusion, only taking three to four self-sufficient groups at a time ensuring complete privacy, no shared space. Just the real Outback. Weather permitting. Your only neighbours out here are the wildlife and our stock. The camping spot is right beside a dam/bore drain, with good access from the main road, wet weather permitting. We have an endless supply of Gidgee wood around the camp spot, its the third densest wood in the world, which makes it the ultimate firewood for campers! You can walk, bird watch, fish, swim or just sit back and soak up the country atmosphere. For more information and property rules please refer to our website outbackescape.com All campers must be self-sufficient and bring their own camping toilet. Pets are welcome to join you but please keep dogs on a leash as we have sheep and cattle in the paddock you’ll be camping in.

Ridge Paddock Lookout
Firstly, the land is incredible - it’s far off the beaten track and the only thing you can see or hear are the goats. Secondly, Sarah goes out of her way to make sure your stay will be comfortable before you even arrive. The site is extremely clean, just make sure you set your mozzie net up, you’ll need it in the summer. If you’re after an off-grid site with easy access, incredible views and a possible sighting of the Min Min Lights (I can’t be certain what I was looking at) this place is for you.

Lake Paddock Camp Site
Fabulous camp for 4 nights at the Lake Paddock Campsite. Sarah was a terrific host and ensured all was set for a great camp. Hot tubs, yummy yabbies and spectacular birding …… well over 60 species and many more that I would have missed. The campsite itself was a great location looking over the water. Would totally recommend if this type of camping is what brings you joy.

Got lucky with the weather. Mid November and it was still cool enough in the evening to enjoy a open fire 🔥 and beautiful hot baths! Local firewood was a eye opener. Thought our jarrah in WA would be hard to beat, but the Gidgee wood 🪵 was amazing! Plenty of yabbies in water hole, a few hours of fun there. Would love to enjoy it with our friends, maybe next time we are up this way! Sarah is lovely, answered all our questions to ensure we had a fantastic stay!

Lake Paddock Camp Site
What an absolutely lovely spot to camp and unwind! We had a great time camping here and the kids loved it and swimming in the dam. The bathtubs were an absolute treat and added bonus. We will definitely be back when we head past next time. Thank you for having us.
