Situated in the heritage town of Maryborough, the Doon Villa Self-Contained RV Park is one of the highest rating parks on WikiCamps, catering for in excess of 20,000 RV's over the last 7 years. The park has the capacity to host up to 50 RV's with a maximum 7 day stay. PRICE PER NIGHT DOES NOT INCLUDE HIPCAMP FEES. PLEASE NOTE, Council regulations stipulate you MUST be a FULLY SELF-CONTAINED caravan or motorhome with INTERNAL PLUMBED TOILET and SHOWER) (porta- potty's not accepted). Grey water must be contained onboard, or in a bucket and disposed of at the dump point. The park cannot accept bookings for tents, swags, roof top tents, camper trailers or car-based camping. Fines apply if non-compliant!!!!!!!!!!. Dump point and water point are next to the park and all grey water must be contained and disposed of in the dump point. The park is a large open area with no designated sites, so please feel free to find a suitable spot-on arrival. Due to the firm ground the park is ideal for big rigs even in the wettest of weather. The RV Park is approx. 1.8km to the city centre, walking distance of a takeaway shop with a petrol station in close proximity. The park is managed by the Doon Villa Football Club which is situated directly beside the RV Park. The club often hosts home games at our facilities during the football season which will provide entertainment and canteen facilities to any campers looking for some entertainment. With a population of approximately 19000 this small town is bursting with plenty to see and do. Hervey Bay is only a half an hour drive from Maryborough and it the gateway to the beautiful Fraser Island. The city of Maryborough is most commonly known as the birth place of the famous Author of the Mary Poppins, Pamela Travers and offers great tour opportunities. The CBD hosts a weekly markets on a Thursday morning that offers great stalls in the town centre. With numerous coffee shops and convenience stores it is a great place to stop for a few days to relax and unwind.Large grassed flat area with ample room, with some tree coverage. Some of the sites offer drive through camp areas with multiple spots to choose from with up to 50 sites on offer. The ground is firm and is ideal for big rigs, even during rain events.

The camp was easy to find on level green grass, the amenities block was old but clean. A take away food shop was close by. Plenty of area to have a walk if you have a dog there is plenty of area to walk your dog. Your caravan must be self contained, there is a dump point for grey & black water.

Great open and level grassed area. Close to RSL Maryborough Sports club for dinner, Fish n chips shop and public transport right at entrance. Medium walk into Maryborough for those who enjoy hiking. Toilet and shower for added comfort, though vehicles need to be self contained for groundwater. Thankyou Magpies Football Club and Maryborough for providing this lovely space for us travellers to enjoy. Our second time and highly recommend.
