Welcome to Crystal Ridge, a peaceful location where you can enjoy peace and privacy. Campers can fish, swim, bird watch or just relax by the water and watch the cows grazing around the property.  Nearby you'll find Mount Spec, Paluma Range National Park straddles the summit and escarpment of the Paluma Range, rising 1,000m above the Big Crystal Creek floodplain. This is the most southerly national park in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Located approximately 45 minutes north of Townsville on the Bruce Highway, Mutarnee is a small peaceful hamlet nestled on the banks of beautiful Crystal Creek. At the local caravan park there's a small shop and service station and just a minute down the road you'll find the Crystal Creek boat ramp.  There is great bushwalks in the area and place to mountain bike. Any camping set up is welcome to pull up on the flat, grassy site. You are welcome to bring your pet, but please ensure they are kept on a leash and under control.

Site 1 - Crystal Ridge
Amazing camp with a concrete pad, had someone in camp 2 for the first night, far enough away to be fine, and booked both sites for the second night for ultimate serenity. We absolutely loved it and the 2 nights gave us a break from busy caravan parks, would have stayed longer if we were not on a schedule. Kids loved the Tarzan swing, swimming and looking for fish and turtles in the creek. Thank you, just what we needed

Beautiful secluded camp on the creek, if we were in the area we would book again, kids used the Tarzan swing and explored the creek. Absolutely loved it

Beautiful camp-site. Great swimming hole. Dogs loved it. Thoroughly recommended. Had it all to myself but there is enough room for privacy if there was another group. Take some firewood.

This place was magic, such a beautiful crystal clear creek. The campsites are very close together however we had the place to ourselves and will be back. Loved it

Perfect waterhole.
Perfect waterhole, rapids downstream murmuring away at night, deep enough for swims and sandy bottom to sit in the shallows whiling away the afternoon with a drink. Nice amount of shade with many options of a camp setup, as we always like shade on the tent in the mornings. Fire to sit in front of with the creek as the backdrop.
