We have a selection of beautiful creek side locations where you can enjoy the clear, fresh running water and a selection of other sites only a short walk from the water. Conveniently located just a short drive off the Bruce Highway our sites are not designated, you choose your own on arrival While staying, you will have the opportunity to take a walk into the past to view a private collection of Australiana, including a working stationary, engine display and vintage kitchen with wood stoves. Access to the property is via a creek crossing so it is advisable to phone ahead if there has been recent rain or rainfall is forecast. Toilets are located on the property but campers will need their own shower facilities and take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are permitted but must be contained at all times in a fire pits that we also have for your use Calen is a small cane growing and cattle town with a general store, pharmacy, service station, butcher and the local pub. Zarby's cafe is a short drive away if you would like to dine in for breakfast or lunch in a retro style setting. Relaxing beautiful Spot
What a great spot, luckily not a long drive from where we live....the creek is great for a swim, canoeing or floating around on a lilo or with a noodle. Terry and Sue are very helpful and friendly....really felt welcome.

Absolutely a beautiful place to camp! Great views, great atmosphere, so serene and plenty of room for everyone to spread out and not be jammed in to close. I will and have recommended Terry’s place to my friends. Can’t wait until our next camping trip there!

Family friendly
We loved camping here. So many perfect spots. Large shade trees, large lawned areas, clear water creek. So many great spots to choose from. A perfect get away and so close to home. Bush walking kayaking, painting (yes, there is a painting area for kids) swimming, push bike riding. A fun weekend for the whole family.

Love it
This is a beautiful place very close to Mackay. The hosts are amazing and gave us a personalised tour of the site upon arrival. There is so much for the kids to do. Kayaks and push bikes were a hit with the kids as was the rope swing into the creek. Very well presented sites and toilets. Fire places for each site and the firewood we bought from the hosts was brilliant. We will definitely be back.
