Relax at your peaceful campsite and watch the animals graze around you. They are fed twice a day and your host can provide food for you to hand feed. We have a flat 5 acres with lots of well loved hobby farm animals including sheep, muscovy ducks, chickens, miniature pig and horses. We may even have lambs, ducklings or chicks, if you are lucky. Inside we have a couple of Childrens pythons that also are part of the attraction. We have an above ground swimming pool for guests to enjoy in the warmer months and lots of room to throw a footy around or what ever pleases you, as long as it doesn't disturb anyone else. Campfires are permitted when there are no restrictions in place. I have 20kg bags of firewood for $20 cash, just advise on arrival that you want some. I have fire pits here that you can move around to suit your campsite. There are no street lights out here, so remember to look up at night as the stars you can see are amazing. If you like to go spotlighting you may see a koala, possom, squirel glider, barn owls, flying foxes and other surprises. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities. Flushing toilets available soon. From September 2024. You are welcome to dispose of rubbish in my wheelie bin and i encourage recycling and there is a bag for 10 cent cans etc. We often see koalas in trees and along the rail trail, which is just a km down the road. We are also close to a spar supermarket, takeaway shop and local pub. There is a simple playground that we are always adding to in the middle paddock under the shady trees and the back paddock is the biggest area and furthest from my house. Sorry, no dogs permitted. Most other pets are allowed but just ask to be sure. If you are a horse person bring your electric fence and your horse will just be $10 extra per night to cover water costs. I have a 20 meter round yard here you are welcome to use.Come relax at our farm to find your peace at our quiet property. I find it so nice when the grass is growing to watch the farm animals and sheep graze. This drought is tough for everyone involved at the moment and animals are fed and watered twice a day. Your support will help pay for their basic needs. Our mini pig (Splat) will definately come say ‘hi’ and is always up for a belly when she’s presentable and not covered in mud. The ducks and chickens tend to stay near the house where they feel safe. Children need to be supervised around the animals. Please don’t feed the animals anything as when food is around they go crazy and it causes fights and accidents between animals. They will come up with time, move slowly and be calm/relaxed and they will come up for pats when they feel safe. Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam, Brisbane River are all close by and I can help guide you towards lots of other great tourist attractions in the area. I have fantastic local tourist magazines and maps of the rail trail on site that I will give you on arrival. We have a flat 5 acres with lots of space for kids to run and play. There is a small playground which has a see saw, metal barrel horse for riding and interesting termite mounds for climbing. Campfires are permitted when there are no restrictions in place. Some fire pits available and firewood for cash purchase on site. There are no street lights or bright light towns nearby so make sure to look up as the stars are amazing. Guests are required to have own shower and drinking water. Unpowered sites, but do have double block of flushing toilets. We often see koalas in the trees and along the rail trail, which is about 1 klm down the road. We are also close enough to Coominya town that has a little supermarket for any items you may have forgotten to bring, a take away store and the local pub. The chemist/post office is open during week days. In summer your welcome to swim in our above ground pool. My 11 year old daughter loves playing with other kids that visit. We really love sharing our blessings with others and meeting new people. I would love the farm to bring like minded campers and families together to re-charge themselves and come together. Sorry, NO DOGS PERMITTED. Pocket pets, cats on leads, birds in cages or horses are permitted. Horses are $10 per horse/ night. Just ask before booking if unsure. Free range chicken and duck eggs are often available for sale, so just ask. $5/doz for Chook eggs. Check in after 10am and check out by 3pm. These times are very flexible as long as you let me know. Slowly the campsite will get busier but until then … If your on fb check us out at- Coominya Hobby Farm Send me a message if you have any questions. Thank you for your interest and we hope to see you soon.

Perfect mini farmstay for kids
An amazing camping spot for the whole family. The kids loved all of the animals, especially Splat the pig. Anna was a great host and helped get the kids plenty of pats with the animals.

Great Flat ground, easy entry and exit even with caravan. Anna was great with communication, promptly replying to messages. Ducks, chooks, a pig, a horse and even a daughter Nancy, who was always keen to play with the kids! Swing set great addition.

Coominya Hobby Farm
The is one for the young family. A real farmstay where the kids can interact with the animals. Sheep, a pig, ducks, chickens, horses its all here. The kids will love it and Anna is such a lovely host who will help you with anything you need. You do need to bring the whole set up including toliet . I stayed in the middle paddock which was shaded, had a swing set and a few termite mounds the kids will love to explore. If you want more privacy then you can opt for the back paddock. There was some adorable new chicks just born and you can join in on feeding the ducks (which is a hoot). Very interactive campsite that I highly recommend for families.
