Come and relax at your peaceful campsite while watching the animals graze. They are fed twice a day in drought conditions and your host can provide food for you to hand feed them.
We have a flat 5 acres with a range of friendly well loved farm animals including dorper sheep, Muscovy ducks, chickens, turkeys, miniature pig (Splat) and horses if they aren't at other agistment. If you are lucky we may even have lambs, ducklings or chicks. Inside we have a couple of children's pythons that also are part of the attraction, just ask to see them. You will be pleasantly surprised, trust me. Young children need to be supervised around the animals and are encouraged to move slowly and not be too loud so they feel safe enough to come up for pats.
We have an above ground swimming pool for guests to enjoy in the warmer months and lots of room to throw a footy around or what ever pleases you, as long as it doesn't disturb anyone else.
Campfires are permitted when there are no restrictions in place. I have 20kg bags of firewood for $20 cash, just advise on arrival that you want some. I have fire pits here that you can move around to suit your campsite.
There are no street lights out here, so remember to look up at night as the stars you can see are amazing. If you like to go spotlighting you may see a koala, possom, squirel glider, barn owls, flying foxes and other surprises.
We now have a double flushing toilet block for your convinience. You are welcome to dispose of rubbish in my wheelie bin and I encourage recycling and there are old feed bags for 10 cent cans etc.
We sometimes see koalas in our trees and along the rail trail, which is just a km down the road. We are also a few minutes drive to a spar supermarket, takeaway shop and local pub.
There is a simple playground that we are always adding to in the middle paddock under the shady trees and the back paddock is our biggest open area and furthest from my house/toilets. There are no set camp sites and you can park where ever you please.
Sorry, no dogs permitted. Most other pets are allowed but just be sure to ask before booking.
If you are a horse person bring your electric fence and your horse will just be $10 extra per night to cover water costs. I have a 20 meter round yard here you are welcome to use.
Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all nearby and I have a great local tourist magazine that I can give you on arrival. Esk is about 20 minutes away and is a beautiful little town with old buildings, cafes, boutiques and lovely scenery. The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is a short klm down the road if you enjoy hiking, horse riding or bike riding.
We really love sharing our blessings, animals and farm with other like minded people and love connecting with families and people.
While we aren't too busy I'm happy for you to check in and out at any time, make your holiday longer. Just give me a message with a rough arrival time in case I'm not there.
Check out our FB page too for lots of current updates about animals and the farm. We sell free range chook and duck or turkey eggs when they are available. $5 for chook eggs and $10 for duck or turkey eggs. Cash please.
The $45 camp fee is our minimum camping fee, this covers 2 adults and 2 children, adults are $20 per night and children $5 per night.
Hope to see you soon.Come and relax at our farm to find your peace at our property. I find it so nice when the grass is growing to watch the farm animals and sheep graze. The animals are fed and watered twice a day. Your support will help pay for their basic needs.
Our mini pig (Splat) will definately come say ‘hi’ and is always up for a belly rub when she’s clean and not covered in mud.
The ducks and chickens tend to stay near the house where they feel safe. Young children need to be supervised around the animals.
Please don’t feed the animals anything as when food is around they go crazy and it can cause fights between animals.
Move slowly and be calm/relaxed and they will come up for pats when they feel safe.
Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam, Brisbane River are all close by and I can help guide you towards lots of other great tourist attractions in the area. I have a fantastic local tourist magazine and maps of the rail trail that I will give you on arrival.
We have a flat 5 acres with lots of space for kids to run and play. There is a small playground which has a see saw, swings, metal barrel horse for riding and interesting termite mounds for climbing.
Campfires are permitted when there are no fire restrictions in place. Some fire pits available and firewood for cash purchase on site.
There are no street lights or bright light towns nearby so make sure to look up as the stars are amazing.
Guests are required to have own shower and bring drinking water. Unpowered sites, but we now have a double block of flushing toilets.
We often see koalas in the trees and along the rail trail, which is about 1 klm down the road.
We are also close enough to Coominya town that has a little supermarket for any items you may have forgotten to bring, a take away store and the local pub. The chemist/post office is open during week days.
In summer your welcome to swim in our above ground pool. My 11 year old daughter loves playing with other kids that visit. We really love sharing our blessings with others and meeting new people. I would love the farm to bring like minded campers and families together to re-charge themselves.
Sorry, NO DOGS PERMITTED.
Pocket pets, cats on leads, birds in cages or horses are permitted. Horses are $10 per horse/ night. Just ask before booking if unsure.
Free range chicken eggs are often available for sale, so just ask. $5/doz for chook eggs.
