**Closed for Off Season from 11 November 2024 to end of February 2025.** Seeking your own private escape to the country? You're welcome to experience our beautiful farmstay 'Coobindah', and enjoy your own EXCLUSIVE campsite, without the crowds! Choose from ONLY TWO campsites on eighty plus acres rural property 'Coobindah'. All campsites are well separated and not visible from each other. To enhance privacy, we take only one booking / group per campsite, therefore you're likely to have the property to yourselves. You'll enjoy peace, nature, amazing views, stunning sunsets, big starry skies, misty valley mornings amidst lovely countryside, farmland and the aussie bush. Relax under the shade of the trees, warm yourself by the campfire, or go walking or mountain biking on our farm. Each campsite has its own rock firepit, and firewood is available (quality split ironbark firewood available in 'extras'). Kangaroos, wallabies and wildlife are often seen on the property, and there's currently no livestock in the paddocks. Pet friendly, family friendly, a quiet retreat for couples / singles, or group bookings available. Old Peppertree campsite is an elevated campsite that has all weather access and is suitable for 2wd and 4wd vehicles, vans, caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers and tents. Bush Camp campsite is further down the back of the property, nearer the bush, down a hill, and is suitable for 4wd / SUV and off-road / higher clearance vehicles, vans, caravans and motorhomes, camper trailers and tents. However access is fairly easy and this is only a recommendation. Both Old Peppertree and Bush Camp campsites are spacious and there's plenty of room to setup and park. 'Coobindah' is just under 2 hours from Brisbane and is located on the Great Dividing Range. It boasts crisp mountain air and glorious views from the hills. 'Coobindah' is a great base from which to explore the Darling Downs. Cooby Dam is just 3 minutes down the road for fishing, kayaking, bush walking, picnic area and playground. The renowned Meringandan Pub is only 5 minutes away to satisfy your appetite. Picturesque Highfields village is only an 8 minute drive for town conveniences, coffee shops, gift shops, cafes, restaurants, the Chocolate Cottage, the Tavern, the new Monty Brewery (pet friendly), and Highfields Falls. We're only 10 minutes to the local winery Rosalie House, the New England Highway, and 11 minutes to the popular Cabarlah markets. The 'Garden City' of Toowoomba is just a 20 minute drive, and has much to offer, including the very popular Carnival of Flowers, held in September each year. The Oakey Army Air Museum is only 20 minutes away. Ravensbourne National Park, Crows Nest Falls, Bunnyconnellen Olive Grove and Events, and the fabulous eateries and shops of Crows Nest are only a half hour drive. Lake Cressbrook and Lake Perseverance are also nearby for water activities and within easy driving distances of 3/4 and 1 hour. We hope you can visit and enjoy 'Coobindah' for yourselves! Bush Camp at Coobindah
Beautiful peaceful secure campsite
This was a beautiful, quiet place to camp for the three days we were visiting the Toowoomba carnival of flowers. We could leave our caravan and know it was in a safe secure place. The view from the peppercorn tree campsite was great with stunning sunsets. Our host Regina greeted us on arrival and was very helpful, giving us all the information we needed and then left us to do our own thing which we were very happy about. Was an amazing fire pit with wood for sale which would have been stacked for us at our campsite if the council hadn’t called a total fire ban the day before we arrived, but hey that happens. Will definitely stay here again if we are up in Toowoomba.

Bush Camp at Coobindah
Private and peaceful
Private and peaceful best describes Coobindah. We were greeted by Regina when we arrived and given direction to our Bush camp, our fire wood was awaiting us, along with singing birds and a few local Kangaroos which set the scene for a perfect weekend.

Bush Camp at Coobindah
Paradise in the bush
Cannot recommend this property enough. Regina was very helpful communicating up to the time we arrived and showing us the site. Karl assisted with the wood we purchased which burnt well, although only got to have 2 fires over the 4 nights due to wind and dryness. Hosts then left us be for the remainder of the camp. Beautiful spending time in the bush site, great walking tracks, animals, birds, and the privacy, peacefulness was second to none. Managed to get some great sunsets during the stay as well. Love to come back here again for another stay.

Old Peppertree at Coobindah
One Tree Hill
Regina and Karl have a beautifully maintained property with 2 very private sites. We loved the views and seeing some new birds on our walks around the property. The Old Peppertree feels like an old friend. We will definitely be back!
