We had a great time. Not another person there and free range of the place. Did some 4wd exploring, checked out an old gold mine, abundance of firewood. Not overgrown. Had no luck with fishing but saw some in the river.

Not as advertised
Unfortunately no-one was there to meet with us or show us the water areas advertised on the 10,000 acres, the caretaker had no idea why we were there or where we should camp, we both tried to call the owner neither of us had any luck, we did let them know we wanted to be near water as we had asked previously about having a small boat and if we should lug it with us, we wanted to fish as yellow belly are apparently swimming around (they are elusive as well!) We wondered around aimlessly for two hours with no good tracks which is to be expected on a 10,000 acre cattle property, looking for somewhere with water access, we had to just camp as it was getting dark. It would have been helpful to have been provided directions. The following day we went for a drive to see if there was somewhere better, there wasn’t that we could find, anyway we had some peace and quiet apart from the neighbour checking fences who informed us the river isn’t the property’s anyway it’s leased to them! and the caretaker popped by I’m guessing to see we were. Luckily we are completely self sufficient and didn’t need to use toilets or showers as it’s the caretakers home with his kids etc I wouldn’t want randoms using my loo either! A long way to come for not what we hoped for our long time coming seven days! The pluses are there is an abundance of fire wood and the sky is stunning at night, emus visited and it was very peaceful

Gold Panning, Fishing and camping
It is a lovely location next to the river, green paddocks and cows grazing.
Fishing, gold panning and relaxing.
