This 10 acre property is located on the banks of Taromeo Creek, a quiet and peaceful camping location with great birdwatching. Taromeo Creek is a seasonal creek and is sometimes dry and sometimes flowing. When the water is flowing there are a number of water holes along the creek. Close to the local town of Blackbutt and only one and a half hours drive north west of Brisbane. Also close to the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail which offers 162kms of recreational trail for you to hike, bike or horse ride; with a local golf course nearby. Mount Binga National Park is close by which has areas to ride and hike. The annual Avocado festival which runs on the second weekend in September is always a popular time to visit. Our campsites vary and are spread across our 86 acres to give you as much privacy as possible. Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure, Campfires are permitted in the fire pits provided. Pets are welcome but must be kept under owners control. Our 10 acre property is located on the banks of Taromeo Creek which is a quiet and peaceful camping location with great birdwatching. Bishop Farm Camp
Read this before you,cwe lov dbook
You need to book at least 24 hours ahead or it won't go through. Don't rely on having any communication with the host, I think he has 'disconnected" from the place. Don't follow google maps directions to the place. Read the written access road and go via it, not the actual address road. There is an unmarked dirt track next to property at number 164, this is your 'driveway'. A whole bunch of little dogs were running at our car, we were worried about running them over so one of us got out and walked to distract then. A nice young guy from the house they belong to came and got them. His dad helped us with directions. Say g'day to them if you see them as they like to keep an eye on comings and goings up the road. The house mentioned in the camp listing is at the end but it is now not in a good way. You won't find any directions to campsites there. The track to finding a campsite is 2wd accessible and goes around to the right then behind the house. The site itself is truly lovely....flat, elevated and no-one else there. Birds, frogs and wallabies It is located not too far from Brisbane Valley rail trail. Great price, beautiful fog this morning, so despite our initial misgivings we loved it!

Our scene away from crowds / Show G
We had the place to ourselves for 2 nights which was great. We were not so sure we had the right place when we arrived as the front yard is messy. The location out the back where we camped was peaceful, serene and pretty. Les had cut a strip of the long grass which gave a good spot overlooking the creek to set up. We travel with 3 dogs so they were in heaven running through the long grass and playing. Close to town with an easy 3 min drive, we much prefer to stay here rather than the show grounds.

Don’t Book!
This farm is abandoned. The house is in ruins. It is not habitable. Don’t book. They take your money and you can’t stay there. Find somewhere else

Convenient and affordable
Convenient Location, just a couple of minutes drive into the town of Blackbutt. Plenty of space to choose from and lots of flat areas to set up. Beautiful big trees and lovely place to enjoy the sunset. Cheap and cheerful spot for a night's stopover.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet, and also the morning and late afternoon visit from the cattle in the adjoining paddock. Just being inquisitive about the humans. The location gave a 180 degree view across the valley. We would stay here again

Nice spot perched high with lovely views and a rustic feel - not for everyone but it suited us. No access to the creek however we had afternoon visits from the local cows. Only about 5mins from town and Les was helpful when we arrived.
