The tranquil and beautiful bush covered property is nestled on 700 acres, backing directly onto the Woowoonga national park near, Childers Qld. The Big Rocks Bush Retreat is situated on the foot hills of rugged, mountainous terrain that creates a picturesque spot for camping, biking, horse riding, bush walking and hiking in a diverse and stunning landscape. With a majority of remnant bush land, it’s a naturalists wonderland with a number of native flora and fauna found in few parts of Australia. The facilities on the property are ever evolving and offer; • large fenced area • large communal fire pit • small camp kitchen • two toilets • covered areas • pool table • book and toy library • small hobby farm with friendly goats and chickens • large horse yards • two dams (great for cooling off) Please note that a 4WD and off-road camper are recommended If you are wishing to access our more remote camp sites on the property. Nearby hamlets of Childers, Biggenden and Apple Tree Creek have a unique combination of history, culture, food, wine and art in a relaxing atmosphere of country life. Big Rocks Bush Retreat

Great spot for a camping trip

Great location for camping. The driveway up was a fun way to start the trip and the camp grounds were kept in great condition. Plenty of fun for the kids with the animals, pool table and communal area as well as plenty of walking tracks options and exploration. Even managed a mid walk cool down swim in the creek.

Loved the free range animals, and common camping areas..waking to the kurrajongs in the morning was lovely... Glass /rubbish free sites was a bonus. Tracks varied with plenty to keep one entertained. Will be back again😁

Excellent spit to set up camp and either relax or explore. Plenty of room for the kids to ride their bikes around and petting zoo was great. Great quality bush camp

Loved this beautiful camping spot!

What a brilliant weekend! Loved the location and the farm animals. Great drive up to our site. John & Lyn are lovely. Definitely going back. Beautiful scenery, hikes are great and met very nice people. Had my friends dogs with us and they loved it too! 😁

Big Rocks Bush Retreat

We had an awesome time. Despite being very unlucky with the weather, we were able to stay dry and sleep well thanks to the covered facilities available at the common area. The people and animals were all lovely. Would recommend.
