"Bereena" is a sheep, cattle, and cropping, family-owned and run farm. Bereena is a third-generation property and is approximately 7,000 acres in size. It's the perfect place to experience the real Australian outback, and catch a glimpse of what working life on the land is like. We are situated in South West Qld approx 315km from Toowoomba and a scenic 5 hour drive west of Brisbane. We are located 14km out of the small village town of Talwood. Talwood has a small general store which triples as a coffee shop, take away and post office in case you are after a refreshment, a burger, or need to post a letter. There is also a local hotel and community tennis courts if that's something you're interested in. We offer a vast area to campers, where you can choose a suitable spot to set up camp. The options are all unpowered and self-contained, so you'll need to bring a toilet with you. However, if in dire need of laundry, bathroom, or power facilities these can be arranged upon request. On "Bereena", there is an endless number of fun activities and rural lifestyle luxurious you can take advantage of during your stay. Some of these things include: - Soaking up the natural benefits of our own personal Artesian bore, fed by the great artesian basin. - Swim/Kayak in Dam - Bushwalking/Cycling - Farm tours - Bird watching The Turvey family, (Tony, Ginny, Michael, and Georgia) invite you to experience the amazing atmosphere and serenity that our property has on offer.Upon arrival, I can take you for a drive to choose your camping site. There are plenty of great options for space and privacy. Most of the camping areas are beside a lovely small creek, perfect for yabbying, kayaking or swimming. The campsites are unpowered and self-contained, however, if in dire need of laundry, bathroom or power facilities these can be arranged. Getting to our farm is very easy with only 7km's of good gravel road once off the Barwon Highway. Peaceful site in a lovely setting
A great creekside campsite with lots of birdlife and walking oportunities for us and our dog. Ginny is a very warm, welcoming and generous host who goes out of her way to ensure a wonderful stay and showcase her beautiful property. Plenty of wildlife and birdwatching opportunities in a lovely bush setting. I wish we had been able to stay longer. My second visit and I look forward to my next.

Owners were so lovely! Very accommodating, even gave us some diesel to light our fire when it was a bit wet. Great spot!

Found a great spot next to the river in a beautiful bush setting. Plenty of room to park Van and close to perfectly level. Very private with a lot of bird life and other wildlife. Ginny was a super helpful and friendly host and we felt very welcome. We only stayed overnight but we would have stay longer if our schedule allowed.

Great birdwatching!
I loved the peaceful secure site close to a small creek with plenty of opportunities to explore and birdwatch. My dog loved the track for prickle free walks. Ginny was a friendly, helpful and extremely hospitable host. Looking forward to visiting again.
