Ben Lomond Station is an 1800 acre working cattle station 25 minutes south of Bowen and 35 minutes north of Airlie Beach on the Whitsundays. We border onto Eden Lassie Creek which has tidal ocean access for saltwater fishing and there is an abundance of estuary fishing and crab spots available. We are a nature based camping area. Cleared shady camping spots are available for fully self contained campers as there are currently no facilities available so you must have own camping toilet and leave no trace. Access to the camping area is for 4WD only with caravans off road and high clearance. Firewood is available for a small fee or you can collect any fallen timber yourself. There is a ban on cutting down any standing timber even it is dead. There is plenty of room to run for the kids and dogs though we do ask that your pet not annoy our cattle or other campers. Ben Lomond station has an abundance of flora and fauna such as burdekin plum trees, mango trees, wallabies, kangaroos and bird and fish species.

Great clean and quiet camping area. Lots of space for the kids to run around. Plenty of wildlife to spot. Would definitely come back and camp again.

Site 4 Gum Tree Flat
Peaceful, spacious, quite and relax
Camp 4 was a great location, peaceful, spacious, quite and relaxing. Other campers were courteous and respectful driving steadily past keeping the dust down and passing with a friendly campers wave. The cows came for a visit being curious on the morning we were leaving. Colleen gave us a grand tour of the sites the week prior so we were familiar with the area and expectations. Having fire wood organized for the site prior to arriving was a great bonus. We thank you for your hospitality and look forward to the next visit.

Site 2 Pandanus palms
So quiet and peaceful with a great fishing spot to wet a line the offer of crab pots and fire wood to be ready when you arrive at a cost is amazing. Sites are well sized and spaced apart and Colleen's is so welcoming and friendly. We will be back for sure

Beautiful Spot
If your looking for peace an quiet and lots of space this is the spot to be. We stayed on site 2 which was in between the river fishing spot and the tinny launch area. Love the fact every site has a huge fire pit big enough to cook dinners. Our pupand boys loved the space to run around. We tried for crabs but only caught small females so hopefully we have better luck next time. Only negative is the price, whilst it is a beautiful spot when you add 2 kids it works out just shy if $50 a night unpowered which is quite excessive. Would be great if kids were free to help it be more affordable for families.
