Ben Lomond Station is an 1800 acre working cattle station 25 minutes south of Bowen and 35 minutes north of Airlie Beach on the Whitsundays. We border onto Eden Lassie Creek which has tidal ocean access for saltwater fishing and there is an abundance of estuary fishing and crab spots available. We are a nature based camping area. Cleared shady camping spots are available for fully self contained campers as there are currently no facilities available so you must have own camping toilet and leave no trace. Access to the camping area is for 4WD only with caravans off road and high clearance. Firewood is available for a small fee or you can collect any fallen timber yourself. There is a ban on cutting down any standing timber even it is dead. There is plenty of room to run for the kids and dogs though we do ask that your pet not annoy our cattle or other campers. Ben Lomond station has an abundance of flora and fauna such as burdekin plum trees, mango trees, wallabies, kangaroos and bird and fish species.

Top spot for a long weekend! Crabbing and fishing with plenty of wild life! Hosts are awesome, the fires were so much fun! Thanks for having us

Site 1 Burdekin Plum Tree
Thanks so much for letting us camp there for the weekend. We had an absolutely incredible stay. Colleen is very accommodating and nothing is to hard. There’s an easy spot to get the tinny in.

Site 4 Gum Tree Flat
We stayed at site 4, just next to the fishing spot heaps of space the dogs had heaps of room and, Colleen was lovely and very helpful, felt very private even though most sites were filled 10/10 would recommend staying here and we will definitely be back.

Site 6 Cattle camp
Hi all we looked at camp site was amazing and it was huge with heaps of shad and a great fire place However we ended up at site 10 as it came available It was the same an amazing site just a little bit smaller but big enough for a We still had one caravan, two camper trailer and a fourth vehicle with a swag and easily had enough room for another van and car Only reason for going to site ten was it was closer to the creek and toilet We also purchased some wood for the fire and I must say it was a generous amount as we didn’t get through it as we were there for one night it would of lasted for two just having a fire at night The hoist was amazing really good communication Thanks so much Coleen you have an amazing property
