Private sites
100% of recent Hipcampers say the sites felt private.
Please note, our rates are per vehicle per night (we cannot adjust the Hipcamp person limits, so please do not add multiple people to avoid additional costs being incurred). There is NO access to our property from Kuranda end! Visitors need to go through Mareeba A beautiful 160 acre paddock that you can enjoy. Cleared slashed areas beside the river. Enjoy a river swim to cool you down during summer and go for a cold dip during winter. River is also good for fishing during the right season. Access to river is 100 metres on graded walking track. Unless you have a ‘booster ’there is no mobile coverage or internet. {enjoy the peace and solitude} Access to the property is fourteen kilometres gravel, coming off the highway. Sites are private separated from each other. Site is 300 metres from road and provides privacy. Tents and small caravans are ideal. Not suitable for highway caravans or very large vans as the access will be too rough. There are walking areas at rear of property. Be aware tropical North Queensland has paralysis ticks and we have snakes at times and visiting pigs. Water can be supplied upon request. Power generators are permitted . There may be minimal mobile service with Telstra. Campfire will only be permitted within fire pit. All campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace behind. Checkout is generally when you feel like it. Dog friendly. Site may be closed in the wet season from December to April, once monsoonal events occur

Site 4 privacy site
Peaceful spot
Beautiful shady spots under the gumtrees. Site 4 has a lot of space for a big group. I had the whole place to myself though & the river was gorgeous. There’s a little bank/beach you can sunbathe on. Pretty quiet here except for the occasional cow mooing in nearby paddock, or aeroplanes flying over. Arthur was very helpful and showed me how to get into each site so I didn’t get lost! 😅

Arthur was very friendly, communication was very good. The sites are spaced far apart from each other which was great. Quiet and peaceful, which was exactly what I was looking for. The only visitors were the curious cows which was fun. This HipCamp is off the beaten track so if, like me, you have had enough of noisy backpackers or trucks and road noise this could well be the best camping experience you’ve had in years. I loved it.

Site 4 privacy site
Private, spacious & beautiful.....
We loved every minute of our stay on Arthur & Cheryl's beautiful property, site 4 was so private and only a short walk to the river, surrounded by beautiful gum trees and a fire place to warm ourselves at night (Arthur even has firewood already prepared for us). Our two dogs were happy to be in open space and Arthur's cattle were very friendly (Jed was keen to herd them from our camp area 😆). Arthur was a lovely bloke, he met us on arrival and showed us around the camp areas and the path to the river......highly recommend and we will be back.
