This camp is an easy seven minute drive from the Gympie Music Muster site. Get in early to set up camp at your choice of positions on a mostly flat paddock in the crook of huge private valley. 4WD is not totally necessary but may be advantageous in wet weather or to those wanting to get off the beaten track. With creek frontage, shade trees overhead and ranging hills behind, at this camp site you will be sure to catch sight of many birds, wallabies, and other wildlife, perhaps even wild deer. Bring your camera! There is a porta loo (and coming soon, a hot shower) on site, we will hire more if bookings are thick but if you are self contained that is awesome! We have a few fire pits and rings available. Exploring the area is a must. You have the creek right here and the forest, nearby are National Parks with marked trails, more creeks to swim in and wildlife to observe. Bunya Farm Produce is open on Saturday mornings for a taste of the best offerings around and Amamoor markets greet the steam train every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday morning. There are many farm-gate suppliers in the region for you try our fresh produce. At Kybong Gems there is a wonderful gem and mineral exhibit, a rock shop and every August the site comes alive with rockhounds from across the nation excited for the Gemfest and camp-out. Also at Kybong is "Hell Town Hotrods" as you imagine, this place is an Alladin's Cave for those into anything vintage, retro, car or petrol.... complete with a workshop pumping out custom hotrod rebuilds. There is a neat cafe and bar on site too. More for the gemologist or mineral hounds, Gympie is close by with the Heritage Museum, featuring the history of gold mining and industries of the area. You can learn how to pan for gold there then come back and practice in your own private bit of creek! The Gympie Region Art Gallery always has high quality exhibits and houses a gallery store representing many of our quality local artisans. Art lovers won't be disappointed, many of our regions artists have been exhibited in state and national galleries and some even overseas. Nature photographers won't need to go far from camp, if they need to leave at all. Amamoor Creek is abundant with enough wildlife, flora and fauna to keep you busy for days! We look forward to seeing you but don't worry, it may only be to let you in the front gate! It's a rural area with farms around so we keep the gates as find them to ensure no accidental movement of cattle.Set up camp on a mostly flat paddock in the crook of a huge private valley. 4WD is not totally necessary but may be advantageous in wet weather or to those wanting to get off the beaten track. La Dolce Vita @ Amamoor Creek
Large Group Camping
The Fraser Coast 4WD Club held a camping and fourwheeling event this past weekend... staying at La Dolce Vita was AMAZING. We loved the location, being near the tracks, but also for its security while we were out driving. A peaceful camp, with wildlife galore! Our large group could spread out, each enjoying our own area. Thanks so much! We will be back!

Property was well maintained. Convenient portaloo. The creek had water, not flowing very much, but was enough to cool off on a hot day!
