We have a private 20 acres of shady land not far from the pretty town of Childers. Our property features a spring-fed creek with fish. Bring your fishing rods as there is silver perch and perch for catch and release fishing only. The rest of the property features open grasslands and bush. We are pet friendly, unpowered sites with access to a flushing portaloo toilet. Campers must have everything they need and leave no trace. Just 20 minutes inland from the beautiful coastal beaches. With flat and comfortable sites, this is a haven for anyone venturing to the Fraser Coast. It's a 2 minute drive into town for supplies and where you can enjoy a range of pubs, cafes and shops. Lots of things to do and see in the area including a bird park and the Snakes Down Under display. *Booked campsites - please note on arrival you will be directed to our general camping areas, you are free to pick any spot to set up your camp.

Site 4 - Green Acres AHEAD OF TIME
Definitely stay here!
Absolutely beautiful property. Stayed at plenty of hipcamps along the way and this was by far the best maintained ground's. Plenty of open space for the kid's and dog's and also heaps of shaded areas to stay out of the sun. The creek that runs through the property and abundance of birds were so peaceful. Childers town is less than 5 minutes away and you would never know. Didn't hear any traffic at all during the day or night. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful peaceful space by a small babbling creek, plenty of bird life. Close to town. Added bonus of a porta-loo. Thank you Tony for a wonderfully relaxing stay.

Very quiet. It’s nice to take your pet. Water views limited. Ground grass not too long. More flatter areas needed for van.

Bit noisy
A bit disappointing this time...a house on the property had loud music playing most of the day for one of my stay...very opposite from the peaceful place I visited previously.

Easy to find. Lovely grassed areas. Tony met me at the entrance and took me down to the camping area. Chose my spot and it was perfect. Arlo the dog enjoyed his dam swims and being free. Very close to Childers town, 35 mins to Woodgate Beach. Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet 😀

We loved camping at Ahead of Time! Tony was friendly and approachable but left us to our own to enjoy the serenity. The camping space was well maintained, lovely green grass with large shady or sunny spots to choose from.
