Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is great for families and kids.
Agnes Water Base Camp is a dog-friendly retreat spread over 120 acres of beautiful bushland. The property offers a range of sites set within this scenic natural environment, with more sites continually being created as the regrowth is cleared. While the track around the property currently has some overhanging saplings, it's ideal for walking and exploring, unless you wish to risk scratching your vehicle. This area is a work in progress and is constantly improving. The highlight of the camp is the large, swimmable dam, perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day. The property also boasts approximately 250 fruit trees and is home to Brahma chickens and roosters, adding to the rustic charm. There's a 3-kilometer walking trail for those who love to hike, and you'll find potable water and ample firewood available. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Sunsets at Agnes Water Base Camp are absolutely stunning, with panoramic views of the nearby mountain ranges. When night falls, the starry skies above are nothing short of magnificent, making it an ideal spot for witnessing astrological events reflected in the tranquil waters of the dam. This camp offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and rustic charm for your getaway.Agnes Water Base Camp is a dog-friendly retreat spread over 120 acres of beautiful bushland. Affordable place to camp
If you’re self contained this place is great and affordable. You’re about 5 minutes maybe not even out of town. Cool dam to swim in and it’s actually nice and warm. Meet Kai’s dog chilli who stole our hearts and is the cutest dog ever. There is a delicious Mulberry tree as well where Kai didn’t mind me taking a few as we left.

We enjoyed our stay at the camp site next to the dam was great and plenty of wood for the fire pot. The site is central to explore 1770 and Agnes Water Kai is a great host and has great plans for the area

Great camp close to town!
We had a big open grassy spot to ourselves overlooking the dam. Enjoyed an open fire each night in the designated fire pit. We were able to collect firewood from around the place. Kai was very welcoming and came over for a chat. We look forward to seeing how the place progresses over time.

We had a great 3 nights at Base Camp. Kai was a great host and always up for a chat. Chilli the doggy was cute. Sitting around the dam was peaceful. Nice and close to everything you need to do and see without the crowds.
