First homestead in the 1890 it was farmed, most of the owners farmed the land with cattle then it was what the locals call weekenders that just came up on week ends, t'ill I bough the farm with the vision too make it a teaching place for self reliance and completely of the grid. I m rebuilding it 1 piece at a time with camp sites and nice trails theirs pond with catch and release fishing, lots of firewood fresh foods available and great place too relax we can also do a 2 hour tour of what we do and talk about the benefits of nature in these trying times.  Learn more about this land: Located only 1.5 hours from Toronto and less than an hour to Wasaga Beach, Humming Bird Hollow is the perfect spot to launch your weekend adventure. Campsites are situated in a forested area alongside the Pine River. There is a pond on-site where you can catch and release fish or try your luck out on the river! Our property is home to several chickens and fresh eggs are available for purchase! Take a dip in the river for some cold water therapy or bring your jugs to fill up natural spring water! The sites are intended to give campers an opportunity to enjoy nature in a quiet and peaceful environment, so please keep the noise to a minimum after quiet hours! We look forward to meeting you soon!

Humming Bird Hollow
Gary's property is beautiful! The pond in stunning (full of jumping smallmouth bass), and there is a small sand beach. There are birds everywhere, which is probably why there were almost no bugs (even in early June!). Gary is a very friendly, sociable, and helpful host. We will be back!

Pristine property
Garry was very gracious and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He was kind enough to give us potatoes, onion, fresh eggs and even a slice of honeycomb for us to have at dinner/breakfast. The campsite sits beside a beautiful, clear pond and next to a forested area. I hope to visit again in the future!

Wet, Yet Wonderful!
Our stay at Humming Bird Hollow was definitely a memorable one! From the rolling thunderstorms, that we were very much a part of, to the farm fresh breakfast that is worth returning for. Garry T. our gracious Host was nothing short of our hero by providing a campsite with a raised wooden platform, a covered steel fireplace and a box of dry firewood when the rain hit. Thanks Garry! Garry also, shared an abundance of knowledge about the plants growing on his property, both edible and medicinal and their application in herbal nutrition. He gave us a relaxing tour of the Apple Orchard, his herb and vegetable gardens and gave us a quick tour on how the honey comb is made, very cool and very yummy! Plenty more to Adventure at Humming Bird Hollow! Until next time... - Angie and Matt

A Educational Trip!
My Boyfriend and I will for sure be coming back to stay at Humming Bird Hollow. Garry was so sweet and helped us get all our equipment to our site by four wheeler. He offers would which is so convenient and a much better price than what you buy outside. The camp site was so clean and peaceful!!! Next day Garry showed us around as there is so much to see and activities on his land. Such a genuine joy of a guy! Don’t hesitate to book 🥳
