HighAcres Farm is no wonder the best choice near Kawartha lakes for campers.   It has 100 acres of flowing meadows, various redwood groves, intersected with a winding stream that is decorated with dozens of small pounds.  The farm is located near the Carden Alvar garden for the sheer abundance of birds watching.  The campsite is close to Trent-Severn Waterway station, which is a historic site to visit. In winter there are lots of cross country skiing trails around the farm.
