Settled in 1885 this property was a cattle farm for much of its history. Now owned by a mother and son we are restoring a century old barn, growing our own food, and milling our own lumber.

Highview Haven - Lakeview
We had a wonderful time at Highview Haven, a lovely view and serene area to wake up to and enjoy. The cabin was beautiful and very spacious. Judith and Ryan are great hosts. Thank you for sharing such an amazing space.

Granite Hollow & Silver Lake
We had an amazing night at Judy and Ryan's property! The cabin is very secluded with plenty of room to explore and amenities to use during our stay. The screened-in porch was huge to get away from the mosquitos. We had a great time with all of the acreage to explore, and having Silver Lake to swim and kayak in was awesome. The lake being less than a five minute walk from the porch of the cabin had us making multiple trips. We'd absolutely recommend staying here and would love to make a return visit.

Granite Hollow Cabin
Everything was set up so beautifully. Even with rain we could sit in the gazebo and play games. My 4 year old loved everything. The beach was great and we had a fun adventure to the waterfall. The bathroom was high quality. We are used to roughing it a bit more than this so we felt this was luxury. Perfect if you have a kid or dog. Judith was super helpful and also gave us space.

Granite Hollow Cabin
Completely private, with everything you’ll need; you really only need to bring food and bedding. The cabin and outdoor toilet were clean and well maintained. Judi and Ryan were super friendly, and you can clearly see the amount of effort and attention to detail put into the little red cabin.

Camping with toddlers !
Our family absolutely loved camping out here! The property is gorgeous!!! There's lots to do & its tucked away and very private for a beautiful escape. The kids loved the beach & it was just a short walk away. The waterfall is a little more of a hike but my two toddlers were able to do it with us helping. The only thing I would highlight to other campers was that we had no service at all, that could've just been our provider but it ended up being a great & needed disconnect for us. The hosts were so kind and we are so thankful for their hospitality. It's a gem of a location! We only had a few minor suggestions: a clothes line would be a good addition for campers to hang their wet beach towels or rain gear on & we would've preferred if the cabin could lock as we had little campers with us. Also there are various mushrooms on the property so just be cautious for littles and dogs that they do not consume any. Overall it was a memorable & wonderful experience for our family. I would definitely recommend this location to others. Thank you so much for hosting us!

relaxing retreat
i had a wonderful time exploring the land here with my dog. there’s a small, sandy beach with swimmable water (bring footwear, some plants and shells—it *is* a lake after all). i enjoyed sitting on the beach at night to look at the stars and listen to the frogs, loons, and fish jumping out of the water. there’s a short trail (some spots folks may find challenging) that leads to a waterfall. i found it a wonderful spot to relax. i also enjoyed climbing to the top of the bluff to get a fantastic view of the lake. the cabin i stayed in was in a magical alcove in the forest. it was cozy and well provisioned (pots, pans, etc.). the firewood i purchased (can’t bring your own to protect the health of the forest) was already waiting for me by the fire pit and the water in the solar shower was warm when i arrived. it is off grid though and does not have electrical so bring batteries if that’s a thing you need. the host and her family met me at the barn when i pulled in and took me on a tour of the property. it’s evident they have put a lot of love into their homestead and really enjoy sharing it with others. they showed me a second cabin that is currently under construction. after ensuring i had everything i needed and knew how to get in touch, the host and her family left me to enjoy the solitude. it was a very pleasant and relaxing experience.
