Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
The campsite is in an open meadow on our 5 acre property, next to the ruins of what was one of the oldest barns in the county (there are still some beautiful stone walls left). You will be surrounded by trees and the spot is completely private. Directly across the road from our property (a 5 minute walk) is the Little Miami Scenic Trail, the third longest paved trail in the US (amazing for biking). The unique village of Yellow Springs is only a 5 minute drive away with a great local grocery store and several cafes. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BOOKING. Notes: 1) For camper vans: we do allow camper vans (not RVs or trailers) but you will need to park at the entrance of the meadow where there is gravel. Recently a camper got stuck in the meadow due to rain/mud (which is why we do not allow RVs or trailers). 2) We are still building a compost toilet so the option on the property now is to dig a cat hole at least 6" deep. There is an open public toilet in Yellow Springs and several businesses with open bathrooms. 3) The campsite is right off of Route 68. You cannot see cars from the site but you can hear them. The amount of noise from cars is lower at night. 4) The meadow is ideal for tent camping, though it is NOT a built campsite so it is not perfectly level throughout. The campsite is in an open meadow on our 5 acre property, next to the ruins of what was one of the oldest barns in the county (there are still some beautiful stone walls left). Fantastic little clearing in the woods. It was clean and ready for camping. There was not a supper level spot for tents but it worked.

Great spot to set up camp near Yellow Springs. Single isolated camp site that was clearly marked from the road and once you got on their land.

Beautiful!
What a beautiful spot! Secluded with two nice little paths. Plenty of room for 8 people and plus. My only complaint was that there wasn’t any water available on site. I was hoping maybe the spring was available. But honestly it didn’t matter because we had such an amazing stay.

Very nice and private camping spot. Fire pit was great and close to downtown yellow springs. We stayed 2 nights. Driveway is very steep and bumpy. We drove an SUV so it was fine. Also the quick link for directions takes you somewhere past the site. Type it in manually. Lastly, a springhouse was advertised on the listing, but host said it is overgrown and not actually accessible. Not a deal breaker, but that should probs be updated. Overall I’d stay again!

Great spot 5 min from YellowSprings
A great spot that feels secluded. Well taken care of. Felt maybe a little overpriced with no outhouse or even table. But overall great experience
