Come enjoy our boondocking site located in Chester Basin on Nova Scotia’s South Shore. Close to Chester, Mahone Bay and Lunenberg. Just a short drive off of the 103 brings you to our secluded 2 acre wooded property suitable for trailers or RV’s up to 30 feet. We provide a level trailer pad with 8x16 deck and picnic table. Your site is exclusive and overlooks a small lake with access for canoes or kayaks. The lake has trout and bass in it and abundant wildlife including a couple of beavers. You are not far from the Rail Trail which is great for cycling or hiking. Some great restaurants are close by such as the Seaside Shanty. Book a visit to the Sensea Nordic Spa in Chester while you are here or just enjoy the serenity of your own little paradise. There is a fire pit but please bring your own wood or purchase nearby. No water or toilet facilities provided. Pump out and fresh water can be provided by a business close by if needed.Enjoy boondocking in the serenity of this two acre private lakeside site for your RV or tent. Located in the town of Chester Basin in the heart of Nova Scotia’s South Shore just 1 hour from Halifax. We offer a level well packed gravel pad for your RV and an 8’x16’ deck with picnic table. Fire pit is available but please bring your own wood and leave our trees untouched. You can access the lake for canoeing or kayaking. There are trout and bass in the lake along with turtles ducks and a couple of beavers. We are located close to the multi-use Rail Trail. Enjoy a meal at the Seaside Shanty or head to Chester, Mahone Bay or Lunenburg for some great sightseeing. Specific directions will be provided upon acceptance of your booking. The site requires you to back your trailer down a sloped road to the pad. We estimate that 30’ would be the largest trailer you could comfortably back into the site. We do not have washroom facilities so only trailers with toilets permitted. Pumpout service and fresh water can be provided by a local business close by if needed.

Say yes to camp croft!
Our stay at camp croft was great. It was out first time camping with our little one and the site was perfect for it. Quite private and quiet. Lots of room for sleeping in both tents and trailers. Plenty of firewood around. There are other folks on the other side of the lake with generators and lights so it's not completely without noise but it is still much better than a busy public campground. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, relaxing, and private spot on the water. Wish we had a kayak to really enjoy it. Just as described and in photos. Would highly recommend.

Peaceful & Quiet Site!
Secluded, beautiful with waterfront views near lots of Halifax, NS attractions. Host was informative & available remotely & gave us good advice. For the attractiveness of the site, it was well worth the maneuring required. Our solar & Starlink worked exceptionally well. Site provides large, wooden deck to pull your trailer up against along with a great fire pit. Very quiet & pleasing water views. I would highly recommend!
