A small homestead on the bank of Abbotts Creek near where it feeds into High Rock Lake. Peace and solitude , but close to the amenities of town. Less than a five minute drive to the grocery store, and less than a fifteen minute drive to uptown Lexington. Public access for kayaks is less than half a mile away. And the view is unbelievable! We have a corn hole board and bags now available for use, as well as a few other yard games. Please let us know if you are interested in using them. The edible landscape is available for you to enjoy. A list of current available items is posted in our greenhouse, as well as baskets for picking and foraging.

Little Cabin
An inspiring sunrise.
In 3+ years of using the app, this is easily, the coolest site I've been to, yet. Even locals should go check out the sunrise at least once. And there's something about a wood burning stove that will just warm the soul.

We tent camped on this property and the owners were nothing short of fantastic! The land and facilities were clean and well stocked. Our kids loved the walking trails and animals! First class experience and look forward to coming back.

Creekside Camp
My family loved camping here. Our toddler loved the swing and had plenty of space to run around. Having ample space on the deck was great. It is a beautiful location and the nicest outhouse I’ve ever seen. It’s easy to show up & have a lovely time. They’ve thought of everything. We will definitely be back.

What a beautiful place!
My favorite Hipcamp site ever. So many little touches, soap and shampoo in the shower, towels available, many items available to lend. Site was beautiful, enjoyed seeing the animals and the gardens.

Creekside Camp
A wonderful escape.
We very much enjoyed our time here. The setting is lovely and it was a wonderful departure from Raleigh. Being new to tent camping this was an ideal location. You are able to get away from it all yet are a short drive to Walmart when you realize you bought the wrong propane tank for your Jetboil, and your family is wanting breakfast. Plenty of open space, my wife could read by the campfire while my son and I threw the baseball or football. We ordered two wagons of wood, and each load was well worth the cost and larger bundles than I expected. Given that a cold front had moved in, fires were enjoyed in the morning even more so than the evening, and the abundance of wood was appreciated. Camping years ago came by way of a 29ft trailer with all the amenities. As such we were a little unsure during our booking about the composting bathroom. If you are, don't be. It is a really simple, clean, and thoughtful setup that we all were immediately comfortable with and there were no unpleasant scents. Our time was limited to a weekend, but we left wishing we had more time and knowing we will be coming back. Lastly, the hosts were accommodating (they thought of everything guests might want or need), friendly and personable, and never intrusive. We didn't make use of the shower as the mornings were a brisk 39 degrees, but you can tell they put thought into everything they did. So if you're in the area and looking for a getaway, don't hesitate for a minute to visit.
