Back in the day this was all farmland. I purchased this property in 2019 and have been busy developing it. I’ve build a chicken coop, installed a bee hive and am planning to add Nigerian dwarf goats this fall. There is a farmstand that will open with gourmet goods later this year. The property is about 6 acres of flat land with several great spots to camp. Across the road is our private forest about 40 acres. Great for hiking and off roading with dirt bikes or ATV’s.  Learn more about this land: We are conveniently located next to the NY Thruway & 209 Highway yet super secluded and in nature’s paradise adjacent to the Sawkill River and across a large private Forrest. There is some road noise from Sawkill road & the Thruway dependent on the spot you choose to set up. If your’e tenting you can be in the woods way up, if you want to plug in you’ll be closer to the house near the road.We grow vegetables, have fire pits, common outdoor furniture & BBQ’s that can be used. There is chicken & bee’s & goats.  A lot of outdoor activity with bird watching. Wild bunnies, deer, groundhogs say good night. It’s rural yet only 10 minutes to Kingston uptown area. We also have a wood fired oven and offer bread & pizza making classes as well as catered meals. We are conveniently located next to the NY Thruway & 209 Highway yet super secluded and in nature’s paradise adjacent to the Sawkill River and across a large private Forrest. Great place to stay!
20 ft travel trailer
We had the best time on our trip here! We had a nice private spot for our camper, access to a fire pit with tables and chairs, grill and tiki torches. Alex was so nice and responsive with any questions; I asked if we could sample some cider, and he brought us two glasses while we pet the goats and dogs! On our last night, we were lucky enough to be around when a local mountain biking group came for their regular pizza and cider tasting and everyone was so friendly and welcoming -- if you get the chance, Alex is quite the pizza chef and his cider is top notch! He even let my husband borrow a mountain bike to go out with the group. We are already plotting our next escape here. (And the local rail to trail is one of the nicest I've been on.)

Great camping spot

Alex is an amazing host! We’ve stayed here twice and would recommend it to anyone. The clearing for camping on his property feels private and is close to nearby towns. Also, his pizza is fantastic! Do not miss it!

Great spot! Alex was a very generous host and set up the grill, hauled in some firewood, and kept us fed with his wood fired pizza and delicious cider. The campsite is just a few minutes away from Kingston, and 20-30 mins away from all of the hiking and swimming spots we wanted to go to. Perfect if you want a convenient site close to town instead of a remote/primitive campsite.

Tent area is nice, grassy, flat, and private, with room for multiple tents. The short walk back to it gets waterlogged in the rain. Host is welcoming and considerate. He lent us a wagon to carry stuff over, and his cider is delicious. Bring a water source and stove. Earplugs are helpful for road and train noise. The campsite doesn’t have access to the river.
