Get away from it all on 60 acres of quiet space! You have two options--bring your own tent and camping gear and rough it, or stay in our hand-built cabin with all you need for a couple of nights of pure R&R! Experience zero light pollution at this off the grid cabin or in one of our camping spots.
Although the cabin is not hooked up to electric or water, it is equipped with kitchen cabinets, pots and pans and dishes and silverware, drinking and cleaning/cooking water, a pullout bed with sheets and blankets (2 people), 2 couches, a dining room table and four chairs, a porch glider, an outhouse, a camp stove, books, a few rechargeable lights (but good to bring your own), kindling and firewood, and is insulated with a stove for winter stays. A fire pit and benches await your nighttime enjoyment of the solitude and stars.
We encourage you to walk and experience a true "backwoods" experience, but we will drive you down in our Utility Vehicle if needed.
A ping pong table is available in the barn/workshop if people would like to play. We also have pollinator and vegetable gardens and chickens, and we produce maple syrup in the spring. If guests are interested in workshops on carpentry, food preservation, foraging, gardening, bread baking, and kombucha-brewing, they should let us know a WEEK in ADVANCE. We also offer spiritual direction and Enneagram typing and exploration. This experience can be as solitary as a guest would like, or guests can also experience the gift of connecting with others in community.
Loved our stay at Connie’s Cabin! It was the perfect set up for a glamping off grid cabin experience and upgrade from our usual tent camping! With everything you need to stay warm and dry, paired with a gorgeous sunset view and ample space to feel like you’re all alone, this will be in our top places to visit.
A amazing place to stay. I've stayed 2 times at this cabin. You can't ask for a better host felt very invited. The cabin located in a secluded area with beautiful views of land and woods. The cabin was very clean and cozy with views of the property. Not to mention the porch off the cabin that provides views of peace and harmony of singing birds. I fully recommend visiting this property to get a way from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
I loved my stay at Connie’s Cabin. I was looking for a place to rest and take a break for a few days. The cabin kept me dry during some heavy rain. The bed was comfortable and the porch was a great place to sit and look out over their meadow and watch for birds, fireflies, and deer. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. I’d love to return sometime. It was just what I was looking for.
Loved staying at Connie's cabin! Definitely a peaceful and relaxing place to unplug from busy life! Nice glamping experience with our dogs. Laurel and Rock were very friendly and helpful hosts and provided all you need for an amazing get away! Cabin sleeps 4 easily on a pullout sofa and and sofas. Wear sturdy shoes or boots to walk to cabin. Would highly recommend a stay here.
The cabin is set in a very private setting. The view from the deck is amazing. Very clean and well kept. The owners made you feel right at home they were very friendly and helped us take our belongings to the cabin. I am definitely going to book again before the year is over. Can't wait to go back and rest and relax. A perfect spot to forget about the hustle and bustle of our busy life's and enjoy nature.
We loved our stay at Connie's Cabin so much! Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. My 5 year old son thought the place was "really fun!" We enjoyed building a fire in the woodstove and outside in the fire ring for roasting marshmallows, bird watching, and wandering around the property looking for the frogs we could hear. The star gazing at night was incredible. We were far enough from the other properties to feel totally secluded but the walk to the car was only about 10 minutes and town is only a 10 minute drive away. We enjoyed the nearby Gully Preserve for a waterfall hike. The cabin is so peaceful, I am looking forward to coming back soon! Much thanks to our gracious hosts.
