Tucked back in the woodlands of a beautiful 5-acre property, the spacious canvas tent sits on top of a raised wooden deck. The site is about a 2-minute walk from the driveway. The trail to the campsite is to the left of the barn garage and is lined with solar path lights that will lead you to the site which has covered picnic table and benches, a charcoal grill, fire pit, hammock, and outdoor loo (tented toilet seat with provided sanitation bags). Enjoy the surrounding nature at your private campsite and welcome the mornings with the sounds of songbirds and distant roosters crowing in the new day. There are dozens of chickens free-roaming the main property. Take in a hike at the numerous nearby trails and national parks. Minnewaska State Park, Lake Minnewaska, Sam's Point, Mohonk Reserve, Awosting Falls, Peter's Kill are popular spots for hiking, sightseeing, and rock-climbing. During peak seasons, be sure to make a reservation where necessary as parking spots fill up fast. Included in your stay at no extra cost: - bocce ball & corn hole located under the bed - cooler for extra food storage - bistro set inside tent - 2-person hammock (dependent on weather) - 2 folding camp chairs underneath the bed Inside the dry-box: - 1 pot with lid - 1 pan (10") - 4 metal mugs - 4+ metal bowls - 4 metal plates - cutlery for 4 ppl - knife - cutting board - sponge - dish soap - grill utensils We provide a portable power station that is used to operate the string lights inside the tent and a lantern that doubles as a bluetooth speaker is also provided. The power station can also be used to charge your phones. If the battery or lantern needs to be recharged, we will have the charging cords plugged in the outlet located between the garage doors that you can use to charge the lantern and power station. The battery should not be used for any small appliances (ie. heater, coffee maker, etc) or it will short out and stop working. If this occurs, we would need to charge for a replacement ($150). Bathroom: there is a stand-up tent (Tentrr Loo) with a toilet seat on top of a box that has a bucket underneath the seat. Please click the link below to watch this YouTube video to familiarize yourself with how to use the Loo. https://youtu.be/WbxCmVLOqFY. Sanitation bags are provided. We do not provide toilet paper, please bring your own. Cooking: there is a charcoal grill but you would need to bring your own charcoal. Best Experience Ever!
Tent
This was the best experience I have ever had ok either Air B&B or here at HipCamp. Karen was the most gracious hostess who took care of every need plus those I hadn’t even considered. I would recommend staying on her property anytime to anyone!
